Marked by fate
Thor is stretched out in his favourite sunny spot beside me, his back leaning against the porch railing.
“Want to go for a run, Thor?” I ask.
He sits up quickly, his eyes bright. I haven’t seen Tobias’s eyes yet this morning. He rumbles deep in his chest, then stands.
The sound drags a flash of memory from last night’s dream back into my mind, and I flinch.
Every night since that first one, I’ve been having vivid dreams. Too vivid. Each time, my mind conjures up Tobias and Zahra, their bodies, their hands, the way they touch me, the things they do to me that I have no business even thinking about.
