My stepdad's fantasy

My stepdad's fantasy

. The drive felt like drowning. Not the violent kind no splashing, no thrashing. The quiet kind. The kind where the water closes over your head and everything goes muffled and slow and heavy, and you realize too late that you should have fought harder. Julian drove like he was trying to outrun something inside himself.

control

control

-ADRIAN POV- I've built my career on the principle that control is everything. It's the only thing that separates the people who succeed from the people who get swept away by circumstance and emotion. Control is knowing exactly what will happen before it happens. Control is building systems that work regardless of external chaos. Control is keeping the world at arm's length so nothing can touch what I've carefully constructed. And I'm very, very good at control. Which is why the assignment Marcus just handed me is simultaneously the most strategic opportunity of my career and the most genuinely irritating thing that's happened to me in months.

Alpha Draven's Regret; Chasing My Secretary

Alpha Draven's Regret; Chasing My Secretary

With a final, lingering glance at Aveline and Kade, Draven pushed open the door and walked out of the building. "Start the car," Draven's commanding voice cut through the silence, jolting the driver back to reality. The driver, who had seemed lost in thought, hastily turned the key in the ignition and the engine roared to life. Just as the car began to move, the assistant burst in, sliding into the seat beside the driver as they sped away from the curb. Draven's eyes remained fixed on the road ahead, his gaze piercing through the day. He paid little attention to the soft hum of the engine or the occasional glance from the driver in the rearview mirror. His mind was elsewhere, consumed by the

Jennifer Strand-Culler
I'm saving this book so that I can read it. it sounds like it'll be a good one but I'm really hoping that this book is different from the rest in where she doesn't take the douche canoe back and finds a far better all consuming love. fingers crossed!
Black Dwarf
There is a disconnect between 113 & 114 chapter. 113 ended with Draven asking question to Emily and 114 began with after effects of Emilys response. What was her response? suddenly there is 117 (the chapters in between are missing) & today 115 uploaded (no relation to 113 or 114) is very confusing.

I wish it were you

I wish it were you

Annabelle knew this curve intimately; she had driven it countless times and knew every nuance of the road. Timing her move perfectly, Annabelle slammed on the brakes, twisted the steering wheel sharply, and executed a flawless drift around the bend. Her car, a sturdy but unassuming sedan, handled the maneuver with surprising agility. As she completed the drift, she overtook the GT-R, leaving its driver in her dust.

The Billionaire's forbidden Ward

The Billionaire's forbidden Ward

The drive to the outskirts was a blurred streak of neon and adrenaline. Julian drove the vintage, reinforced black charger like a man possessed, his knuckles white against the leather-wrapped steering wheel. Every few miles, he’d check the rearview mirror, his jaw set in a grim line that spoke of old wars and new enemies. I sat in the passenger seat, the silver USB drive clutched so tightly in my hand that the metal edges bit into my palm.

The Tycoon's Forbidden Desire

The Tycoon's Forbidden Desire

"Drive like your name is still on the building!" As the SUV roared toward the cooling sub-station, the city of Accra blurred past them, a vibrant, living contradiction to the sterile, digital death they had just left behind. Julian held the obsidian drive in his hand, realizing that his father had been right about one thing: the only thing you can truly trust is the thing that can still bleed, even if that blood was just oil and coolant under high pressure.

Rival's Contract Marriage

Rival's Contract Marriage

Cameron’s POV Brandon drove like he was born for it. The moment his hands gripped the steering wheel, something in him shifted—his usual smirking arrogance melted away, replaced by pure, focused precision. When he pressed the gas, the car responded instantly, gliding forward with seamless power. His movements were fluid, effortless, like he wasn’t just driving but commanding the machine with an unspoken language only he understood.

THE ALPHA'S SACRED MISTAKE

THE ALPHA'S SACRED MISTAKE

He drove. The Dravon territory gave way to the connecting road at 6:40am and the highland landscape opened up on both sides, the specific quality of early morning land that had not yet decided what the day was going to look like, still grey at the edges, amber trying to come through at the horizon. I watched it. He drove the way he did everything. Without performing it. The specific competence of someone who had learned a skill properly and then stopped thinking about it. I said: I left the Marre territory in the morning.

Vexed

Vexed

He turned around and ran to join his friends waving back at me as they proceeded through security. I turned around as I lost sight of him and made my way to my car. Going through the airport didn’t feel right. It seemed as though everyone there was staring at me as I made my way out of the building into the parking lot. Walking through the parking lot felt worse as I hit the button to unlock the doors as I came up to a black 2010 Honda Accord V6. It seemed like I was running to the car, I was walking so fast, I opened the doors and looked around me before getting in. I crawled inside and sat in the front seat, closed the door and locked it. Taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, I searche
