The car looks expensive but then, what do I know about cars? I was greeted by Mike, Alexander's driver. "Hello ma'am, you look charming." "Thank you, Mike" "Shall we?" I looked at peace, to find her already looking at me. "You have nothing to be afraid of, you are amazing and you don't want to keep your man waiting for too long." "Sigh, let go mike" "Bye girl, I love you." I replied Peace with my charming smile as we zoom off. The drive to the function was silent. Not awkward, but comfortable.

I turn back towards the front and begin getting my stuff out when Kevin plops down next to me. "So where's your little boyfriend?" Kevin mocks. "What are you talking about?" I reply in annoyance. "You know the Draven guy at the festival the other day." Kevin says with a sirk. "You know what they say about the Draven's don't you?" He continues. "They say they are evil vampires and anyone who is around them for too long disappears never to be seen again." He finishes. Suddenly a loud thunk sound comes from my other side and I look to see Victor pulling out the chair next to me. I look back at Kevin who wears a smirk on his face.

“Al-Alpha, you called for me.” “Yes.” Draven replied calmly, yet there was a dark edge to his voice. “I just wanted to know how you managed to get into an accident today.” The driver’s legs immediately buckled and he fell to his knees. “I swear on the name of the goddess I drove as carefully as possible, Alpha. It was the other driver who suddenly stopped in front of me.” “Hm.” Was all Draven said, yet there driver latched on to it like a lifeline, raising his head to look at Draven.

I even try to respond but words just won’t come out. Deep down, I want to scream. Scream at him to leave me alone. Scream at my aunt and cousins to do something about it. Even Scream at my parents for leaving me here with no one. But I can’t. I just can’t. So I do the one thing I can do. I dig my nails into my knees and try to think of anything else but the massive amount of fear I’m feeling. Literally anything else. But nothing comes. “Ava, I said move forward. And look at me when I’m talking to you!” He snaps and I flinch.

⁠ Then he mov⁠e‍d. He pulle⁠d back just enough to let me dra⁠g in a wet, gasping⁠ breath b‌efor‍e driving forward again. Ha⁠rder‍. Th‍e‍ rhythm b‍uilt⁠ w⁠ith brutal speed. There was n‌o warm-up and no mercy.

Carl floored the gas pedal and drove up the side of the hill to avoid getting hit by bullets. One of The Raven's cars was pursuing Carl on the tarmac while the other was on the hillside. Carl floored the gas pedal again at the right moment and drove straight down the hillside, smashing into The Raven's car and destroying it. But he did not dare to stop. He continued to drive. The Raven guy in the other car fired at Carl in front with a machine gun.
