My chest felt tight, my lungs struggling to pull in air as sobs began to shake me uncontrollably. I buried my face in my hands, my fingers trembling as I tried to hold back the tears, but it was impossible. They spilled freely, hot and unrelenting, streaming down my face and soaking the floor beneath me. Each tear carried the weight of my humiliation, my helplessness, and the unbearable truth of my situation. “Bella…” I whispered, my voice breaking into a choked sob. “Bella, why aren’t you here? I need you. I can’t… I can’t do this without you.”

My heart shattered into a billion fragments and the cold didn't help. The pain was like a billion knives twisted in my heart, ripping it until there was nothing left. My tears mixed with the water as it flowed uncontrollably. My eyes were swollen and red from crying. Soon, my strength left me, making me drown in the pool. The water slowly rose above my eyes to my nose. I wasn't going down without a fight. Without thinking twice, I grabbed Delilah’s ankle, pulling her into the water with me before we completely sank to the bottom.

The guilt within me grew, intertwining with the sorrow that had settled in the depths of my being. Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill over and stain the pristine white of the dress. My clothes are on the ground, and they are wet. A shaky breath escapes me as I scan the room. I walk over to one of my shirts, lifting it off the ground, watching as water drips from it. Tears well up in my eyes, and I try so hard to ground myself, but they keep falling. I know I hurt someone, but this is too much karma for my sins. A choked sob slips out, and suddenly, I sink onto the cold floor, pulling my knees to my chest. I try to breathe, but it feels like I’m suffocating. Like the walls are closing in. And then it happens before I can stop it. The darkness I dread envelops me, pulling me under like quicksand, dragging me back to a place I never want to be.

After I closed the door, I collapsed to the floor and broke down in tears. Having cried my heart out, I curled up on the cold tiles, trembling with sobs. The last notes of my broken cries faded into the silence. It was as if my entire heart had been ripped apart and left bleeding. At that moment, I couldn't see a future ahead of me. All I felt was the weight of suffocation. Gabriel didn't leave. His voice, choked with emotion, came through the door. "Please don't cry… It hurts me to see you like this."

I place my hand over his, pressing it against my face as if that gesture could anchor me in the present, keep me from drowning in the emotions consuming me. The tears fall slowly, one by one, and I feel the weight of everything we’ve lost, of everything that could have been.

Stream of tears started to flow down my cheeks. I'm not sure why l am hurting right now. It feels like all the bad memories keep coming back and it's drowning me. I stood up and slowly took off all my clothes and get in the shower, naked. I turned on the shower before I sat down on the bathtub and pulled both of my legs tightly close tomy body in a fetal position. I let out all my frustrations and anger and let myself be drowned with my own tears. I didn't know how long i spent inside the tub until I heard a soft knock from the door and Travis's voice followed speaking from the other side of the door.

When I reach it, I stare down, feeling hollow. It’s spilled all over the floor. I sink to the ground, my body moving of its own accord, and I scoop some if it up in my hand and drink it. I do it two times before feeling the taste of my own tears mixing in it. That’s when I give up, leaning against the front door. My injured hands cover my mouth as I scream and scream, loud sobs leaving my mouth as I curl into a ball. I’m crying over the spilled soup, my dinner. And yet, I know that’s not the real reason.
