Drowning in the Ocean of Love
I stared at his emaciated body, certain he had brought this on himself.
"Why don't you just drink yourself to death?" I cursed as I kicked him.
He stirred and shifted slightly, but he still lay unconscious. Then, I noticed two more graves beside my parents'.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I glanced at them. The moment I did, I stiffened.
One tombstone read: "Beloved Wife, Phoebe Radcliffe."
The other: "Beloved Daughter, Lumina Carlisle."
All at once, the sorrow I had bottled up came flooding back like a tide. Certain wounds were so deep that even the passage of time couldn't erase them.
