Letting Go in Three Seconds
Levi reluctantly let go of my hand, opened his mouth as if to say something, but before he could speak, I hurried away.
Like avoiding a plague, I was avoiding him.
What I didn't see was Levi watching my retreating figure, his chest heaving noticeably.
His restrained emotions were slowly crumbling, and this time, he would never let me go of his hand.
But I was far from as calm as I appeared on the surface.
I was letting go of my past with Levi, but the thought of the pain he had caused me still made me resentful.
