TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS
His smile faltered and we stared at each other for milliseconds that, to me, could be compared to hours.
I tried to pull myself together -even with the bad feeling of tightness in my chest- and resumed my steps, no longer staring at him. I wished him "good morning" and decided to focus all my attention on the cups in front of me, carefully leaving the basket with the bread rolls on the table.
"Remember our stay in Dubrovnik*? What a wonderful place!" Dona Kyara spoke in the middle of a subject about travel or something.
