The rock gave a warm pulse when Albus touched the sky dragon's heart. He closed his eyes and channeled his energies with a smile as if meeting an old friend. Albus's white energy turned the stone's outer appearance into a golden color.

Master Tsertinand snorts before moving on. By the end of that session, all of the witches except the headmistress are armed. Leita got a set of rings as her amulet and Matron Aldar, who’d been silently watching from the shadows got a set of knives. Apparently, knives were her weapons of choice. The Headmistress had amulets of her own, all made previously by Master Tsertinand. Haden and I didn’t need amulets or even weapons. We were going to transform before entering the forest, and our weapons were our teeth and claws.
