Each step sunk into the ground like walking through thick mud. "We are gaining ground!" Okan cheered. "What is up ahead?" Eira could see a change in the landscape. The crusty, cracked ground gave way to mounds of golden sand. "That is the Drifting Dunes Desert," Junayd answered. "Perhaps we can use it to hide and regroup." It’s a heady concoction and it’s strange that a pack of warriors would question the intention of their own alpha but that’s what I feel.
