~ Helen’s POV ~ The zoo was… well, exactly as I expected. Loud, crowded, and honestly not my thing. I didn’t really enjoy it much, but Lisa and Zara? They had the time of their lives. Their eyes sparkled at the sight of every animal, from the tall, graceful giraffes to the cheeky monkeys swinging from branch to branch. They giggled and took endless pictures, even convincing me to pose beside a sleepy lion—which, let me tell you, was not on my list of things to do today.

"Okay, Mommy! I can't wait for our next family outing together." Finally, we arrived at the zoo, and Cleo practically bounded out of the car. Cleo was full of questions about every animal we saw, and I did my best to provide answers to each one. We grew tired from walking after a few hours, so we stopped to rest on a nearby bench. "Mommy, look! They have ice cream for sale! Can I have one, please?” I bought Cleo her favorite strawberry flavor, while I chose cookies and cream. We then sat back on the bench and enjoyed our delicious treats together.

The animals looked healthy and properly cared for. Daphne rode a small pony, and we also watched a sea animal show. We saw dolphins, seals, penguins, and even a polar bear swimming through the glass wall. We were all having such a good time. I even laughed when Daphne got terrified of butterflies and quickly ran out of the butterfly garden, crying. Kreed had to carry her out. Later, we rested at a small cottage inside the zoo. My feet were aching, so I sat down and drank from my tumbler, making sure Daphne stayed hydrated too. I handed her a big sandwich stuffed with meat, shrimp, vegetables, cream cheese, and more.

Dylan said to his aunt that afternoon as they were seated outside the house shilling, they had just come back from the supermarket to do some shopping for his sister’s birthday which was to occur the following day, Alicia was turning six the following day and everyone was happy, she was out to play with Melissa and some of the kids from the neighborhood so it was just Dylan and his aunt, it was a hot afternoon that is why they chose to chill outside, Maeve had to organize the party by herself and two of the organizers that were helping her, Dylan had to stay with his kid sister and she totally understood why he couldn’t make it even though she was highly hoping he would make it so they woul

The men followed also, leaving one after the other. I waited till they were gone before I entered inside. I met Lily sitting on the couch, questions written all over her. “Who were they? And what did they want?” She asked. “I borrowed $50,000 from them to pay Nanny's hospital bills. I managed to pay up to $5,000 but they wanted to pull down the orphanage.” “You said you had it under control,” she said. “Yes, I did until they came,” I sat on the couch beside her.

Derrick “Mommy, I saw the biggest elephant today at the zoo!” Zahra’s dreamy eyes nearly popped out of her sockets. "I said no, Danny." But then the spider monkeys started swinging around their enclosure, showing off, and I couldn't help but laugh. Danny caught it on camera—my genuine smile, my head thrown back in delight.

None of them laughed or stuttered when they breathed out those words. "Dylan will buy all the fish, meat, and vegetables in our store in cash." I proposed, joining their drama. Needless to say, the two were slaves of money. And it was proven true when both of their eyes twinkled like a star as though they just won the lottery. "What are you doing?"
