Alex opened the book Damian had given him in his library. It looked very old and dusty. Alex felt something strange about the book, as if it was calling him to read it. On the first page of the book was written in big letters: "Traces of what once was... Clan Echelon: Past, Duty and Destruction".

It was scorching like a flame and if auras could be tasted, hers would definitely be bitter. I shuddered, walking over to the first aisle to check it out. The first book that caught my attention was Blood, Pawns and Obsession. It was a dark romance by Rylie Martin. I had one of my projects on hold because I wanted to read this book and get into the head of the psychotic male lead, so I would understand him better and be able to execute my plotline to my taste. The grin on my face unconsciously widened, and I brought the book to my nose, sniffing it in.

I can't recall, I still find myself wondering what actually happened, well moving on I found my way into the sacred library, only to discover that no one was present, all the guards were outside. I walked past the tall wooden shelves which were filled with different books, yet I felt a force drawing me towards a particular self at the far right of the library which had an inscription on it, "Mystery." I scanned through the book and I decided to pick the one that had a black cover, the title of the book was Prophecies. The title alone was intriguing, I found myself a place to sit down to feast on the book. I randomly opened to the eighth chapter which was titled, "The Return of the Rebel Alph

But then again, he didn't think Damien needed too much light. The room was already spacious, and the cooling from the air conditioner was also enough. Again, a chandelier hung above, serving as the secondary source of light. Mark took a book from the floating bookshelf just beside the window and caressed it. "Too neat," Mark said, "Yet so old." He flipped open the book, "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." Mark mused, skimming the summary of the book. Of course, he had quite some collections of books himself, but he was more interested in science fiction and mystery than Gothic horrors.

He said dismissively. I ran to my room and start crying. Then I drifted to sleep, with my backpack still on my back. Just when I closed my eyes, I saw him. The Mysterious Boy, he was in my dream, staring at me. He was putting on the same black hoodie. The hood covered most part of his face. His eyes were red, he looked like a vampire. Here, in the dim light, I saw a row of old, leather-bound books that looked like they hadn't been touched in centuries. My heart raced as I reached for the first book, feeling its weight in my hands. I flipped open the cover, my eyes widening as I read the title: "The Secrets of the Night: A Guide to the Mystical Creatures of the Dark." With a gasp, I realized that I had found exactly what I had been looking for. I spent the next few hours devouring the contents of the book, her eyes darting across the pages as she absorbed every detail. I don't know why, but I'm really engrossed in reading mystery books especially when I could always figure out who the suspect is before the detective could even tell who it was in the end. I traced my fingers at the leaves of the books that are stored in the bookshelves as I read their titles until I came across a book which made me curious of it's title. It was called Isoria with a fantasy like book cover with golden specks laid across it. I then knew that it's a book I will never regret reading. I was tempted to buy at least two or more books. I saw a lot of books that I want to read, but I don't want to abuse my mom's kindness. I wasn't supposed to be allowed to buy any book right now.
