Books About Dystopia Mga Nobela at Kwento

He asks with something in his voice I can't quite identify. "You don't know." I say with a slight chuckle in my voice. "Just pick one." I watch idle as he sifts through all the books until he picks one. House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas. "That is one of my favourite books. Although I might just be biased because I love her writing." I lean back in the chair with a satisfied look on my face. "What makes you love someone's writing?" He sits back in his chair and looks at me curiously.

It was time to give his surroundings his full attention. The first thing that struck him was how organized, neat, and well-tended the streets and buildings were. There were no signs of war or nuclear devastation. Not a brick was out of place in the buildings nor a crack in the streets could be found. Sure, it was approaching two decades since the world’s devastation and much of the planet was returning, but not to such a state as this. It was so pristine! The low cropped grass was thick and a deep, rich green color. The flowers were large and healthy to the point of looking artificial. If he wasn’t standing in the middle of it all, he’d have thought it to be a mirage; a dream of what h

“Yes, we risk making it boring. But, I think Mr. Rick will appreciate an organized paper rather than a messy one. Besides, we can pick two interesting works.” “What do you have in mind?” he asks softly. For no reason, his mellow voice and cooperativeness give my heart a certain jittery. It slowly starts pounding in a fluttering way. My expression softens considerably and so does my voice. “What about 1984 and Brave New World? Both are dystopian novels, but the societies described in each book are different. We can discuss the social orders and their influence on the societies.” That’s when I hear a long heavy sigh. He twirls his pen and looks up at me, revealing his sharp handsome features.

He heads to the mall’s food court area to unpack the items and check out the plots as well. The series is a medley of genre set in a dystopic time. He is amazed at the condition of the books, they feel… brand new? He takes his time to admire and study their condition for almost a hundred times. As he grabs the orange books, he feels the hard cover and runs his hand on the embossed title – The Darkest Minds.

It was a perfect fit. Tara scoped the room for a place to put it. Maggie insisted she keep the book safe. The second-floor den had an enormous bookcase built into the wall. If she placed it on the top shelf it could easily blend in with the array of books of all shapes and sizes that were stuffed, shoved and crammed in rows from floor to ceiling. She felt a little light headed when she stood up. She couldn’t decide if it was from the power emanating from the book she held close to her chest or simply because she stood up too fast. Whatever the reason, she took the time to stand still and wait for her equilibrium to come back before heading off to the den. ****

I missed my mate, my freedom, my friends, Kailin, and everyone at the vineyards. I watched a series about a group of delinquent kids born in space and dropped to Earth to see if the air was already breathable. I finished Episode twelve, and when a particular character pissed me off, I turned it off and went to read something in the study. There were some fiction books, but primarily old books from Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Herman Melville. There were self-help and meditation books and a book about mystical creatures. I walked out of the study. If she allowed me to read a book about witchcraft, it might interest me, but that would be as dangerous as walking into the darkness without

This book is the opposite of Utopia and if you know the definition of that…. then you will understand this world. Yet remember there will be holes in this story, and to fill those holes you must use your imagination to fill them in. Sometimes in writing less is more, a mystery even.

Seeing the poor girl’s trembling in fear, Utopia gradually calmed down and erased the murderous thoughts she had for that despicable prince. “Yes, please.” The servant ran fast as if she was in a running competition or that some kind of wild animal had scared the wits out of her. Sighing for the umpteenth time today, she drag herself to one of her favorite shelf and ran her fingers on the velvety feelings of the hardbound books her ancestors have collected throughout the years. As she was scanning for books that would interest her, she found a peculiar one on the top part of the shelf that seems to be purposely hidden from their sight.

“The damned were a pack of people that made up a rather small town in the far East some 700 years ago. They were simple people who farmed and hunted for a living. They were so disconnected from the world that they gave naive a whole new meaning. They trusted too quickly and took people for face value. You could tell them you have never committed a crime before with blood on your hands and they would believe you. And that is how they became a town of refuge for so many murderers, thieves and monsters of every kind. The outside world changed the town's name from Serenity to the Damned Naive or the Damned for short.

Epilogue… The keeper Namiyen, told me the truth about the half breeds. The prophecy did not cursed us, but the Brakoon made everyone to believe that we are cursed creatures. The Brakoon has used and abused countless number of poor souls, but in the end, the mighty faceless Brakoon who has ruled Dystopia for over a thousand years has now been trapped into a small confinement together with the spirits of the Martians he has slain.
