I woke up to the sun shining into my bedroom I open my eyes and thought back to last night. Dinner wasn't too bad Matt and Mr Black seem like nice people if you put the fact that they are mafia to the side. A knock on my door had me pulled from my thoughts I got up and opened the door. Matt was standing there in workout clothes staring down at me. He is really tall at 6 ft and I am a mere 5 ft 2. I look up at him and lift any eyebrow at him. He shakes his head at me and say.

“Surprised?” “Very,” I admit, shaking my head slightly. “Are you following me now?” “Of course not,” he replies, his voice smooth as ever. “I’m here accompanying someone.” He pauses and adds with a mischievous glint in his eye, “But please, just call me Matt.” I raise an eyebrow, amused by his insistence. “Matt? I’m not sure that suits you.” “Trust me, it suits me just fine,” he says, his grin widening. “So, are you busy, or could I tempt you into a stroll around Rodeo Drive?”

When it finally ended and the guy left with a quick wave, Jordy exhaled softly and turned back to Matt. “…You okay?” Matt didn’t answer immediately. Then, finally— “Who was that?” Jordy blinked. “Just someone from school.” Matt nodded once, but his expression didn’t change. “You seemed… comfortable,” he said. Jordy frowned slightly. “What does that mean?” “Nothing,” Matt replied quickly. Too quickly. Jordy studied him for a second, then leaned closer. “Matt.” Matt sighed, running a hand through his hair again. “I didn’t like it,” he admitted.

Brit roared. Now that did get me out of bed. Why, you may ask? 'Cause I knew Brit wasn't joking when she said that—trust me. "Thanks, Brit. I couldn't have done it without you," Matt sighed. "I know, you've always been a wussy," she said with a smile. "Evilll! Evill!" Matt yelled, pointing fingers. "Ugh.. Are y'all trynna be Drake and Josh or something?" I asked with an irritated look.

His annoying boring face most preferably. "This is not the time, Matt. Answer my question, can I sue Hillary?" Matt is a partner at his law firm so he is my one stop go to person for everything that has to do with legal issues. We have known eachother since before my debut years so we have managed to cultivate a sort of friendship now. Matt is a bland guy with a sharp intelligent sense of humour. We go out for drinks once or twice in a year depending on both our schedules. And if I didn't have a legal matter to discuss, we still keep in touch no matter how rarely.

"Not bad for your first try." Not bad. I stepped off the mat, my legs shaky but not from fear this time. When my eyes found Jay again, he gave me the smallest of nods, subtle but sure. Something inside me warmed at that. For the first time, I didn’t feel like I was pretending.
