Azraiel almost snorted. “W..You are serious…God…Okay…Look….Like today, when she got angry seeing us hug, we’ll have to make such situations for her….that’d trigger her somehow, both through happy and sad events…Today, she revealed the color of her eyes...maybe we’ll know something or the other every time she is triggered.” “Perfect…we’ll do this..” Azraiel said without missing a beat…The safest option, thus the best for his mate.

And suddenly Every soldier on the field moved at once. Ravel’s forces advanced. Sebastian’s operatives activated. The Seraph Syndicate deployed. Three armies. One target. Aurora Hale. Inside the command room, alarms screamed. Rafael shouted, “Mass assault incoming!” Victor grabbed a rifle. Marcus cracked his knuckles. Lucien grinned like a devil. Dominic locked the security doors. Adrian turned to Aurora. “Well?” Aurora wiped rain from her face slowly. Her voice was calm. Cold. Unbreakable.

This ensured that any losses from counterattacks or reprisals were minimized. Freya’s shield was riddled with cannonfire from numerous drones, but it held firm. She upped its repairs while she continued to dash around the perimeter. “Looks like they finally wised up,” she said. “It only took, what, four settlement attacks until they got their shit together?” Behind her was Raijin and Max, both in Stormrider mecha as well. Behind them was Xylo, in her own mecha as usual. This time however, they had eschewed the Prophet’s White and Gold paint scheme. They instead replaced them with the colors of the Ravens - a matte black with hues of blues and greens and purple under the right angles.

Rayne's POV The tears welled up in my eyes as I continued running. I heard them struggle, and a blast stopped me in my tracks. “Oh no,” I murmured as I turned to look from a distance. Elvis was on his knees, and the leader was pointing a gun at him. I couldn't run as I knew Elvis' life was on the line. I didn't care what promise he made to my father, but I wasn't going to watch him die. “Kill him,” I heard the leader say, and my whole body grew tense.

Rain sobs as Ricardo holds her. Ricardo has been and always have been looking after her, when she left to live a normal life, he secretly sent some of his men to look after where she goes, they even guard her apartment without her noticing. Rain, a name that's well known in the mafia world. Yes, Summer Jones Sparks was once in a mafia.

In my mind, I was finally feeling the very same rage my father had felt towards them. She was Damien Cross, one of the most ruthless of all rogues out there. Kylar had only told me a few days after Della was long and gone. Damien and Della were together in the same house or wherever the hell they were. The thought made the blood in my veins boil to the point where I felt like finding them and then tearing Damien's throat out. We just got married, just got hit with the fact that Della was pregnant and hybrid and now she was gone. I felt like I was losing control so quickly and there was nothing in the world that I could do to help myself.

Andrius pointed at Noir and introduced him, “He’s Noir.” Andrius then explained, “This is Rainbow Conery, Luna’s cousin. She’s here to study, and she seems to be a military otaku.” “Hi! Hi! Nice to meet you!” When Noir heard Rainbow was a military otaku, he got up and saluted her formally before he stretched his hand out for a handshake. Rainbow was thrilled. She shook his hand lightly because her hand was shaking. “Join us.” Noir pulled the chair beside Andrius and signaled Rainbow to sit down.

Dozens of Serpents stepped out of the shadows, their guns raised. Vex Mercer stood at the center like the king of hell, president patch prominent on his cut. Razor with his scars smirked beside him, and zi couldn’t help but remember how Raine—my girl— fought him to protect me. I didn’t even see Raine and Isla. They were on their knees, guns held at the backs. Raine’s eyes found mine instantly. She was very pale, her side bleeding through fresh bandages, but that unbroken fire still burned in her gaze. Isla looked worse but stubborn, glaring at her father with pure hatred.

Of course it would be a hard task considering the fact they all wear masks and if she were to be found out with her gloves, it wouldn't be possible. The superiors in the Raven band all have special gloves to differiante them. The superiors are the ones who get to know what Raven looks like and they are the most trusted and surprisingly they are just five of them. Kai, Archie, Lucius, Tanya and including Raven herself (Mia). They lead certain lookouts for any spotted offender in line with the job they are called for; fishing out the weres, vamps and zombs.

I got this hunch that he'd become aware of my gaze and was about to return it, so I looked away immediately. "Are you aware that the rainbow is just an illusion?" He asked turning to me, with that cute smile still playing on his lips. "Huh?" "The rainbow," he repeated, pointing towards it "it's an illusion cast on the sky due to the reflection of light" "Really" I said. He scoffed and silence reigned once again. I figured it was now time to part ways before he begins to grow on me. "I'm about to go in now," I said reluctantly "Which hospital building do you stay?" I grabbed the arms of his wheelchair.
