Ximena places her stuff quickly in a neat pile and I place the box on the ground before unpacking it. The thick books are all looking really old, with leather bindings, golden lettering, and thick yellow paper. I read the covers; Magia elemental, La historia de la magia, Un testimonio de la cacería de la brujas en la Espana, Guía de brujas, Libro de encantamientos, Libro de los muertos, Leyedas mágicas and book with no letters on its covers, just an upside down tree. I wonder what that one is about. For everyone wondering, here are the translations:

I told him one afternoon, reading one of his letters. Elijah was sitting next to me, with one hand on my belly. “Emmett has included a reading plan for the first year,” he said with amusement. “What books?” I asked, frowning. “Inter-tribe political history, an introduction to defensive strategy, and illustrated animal stories,” Elijah said with amusement. “At least he added some stories,” I muttered sarcastically. “The note says they’re meant to be a break between serious topics,” Elijah said seriously. I brought a hand to my face.

“Am so sorry, I still have a bit of a problem controlling my powers.” Oh, really, it wasn’t obvious. “It's fine.” I swallow dryly and pick up the book that had fallen to the floor. Tilting my head curiously, I study it. It’s bound with a thick kind of leather strap and though the pages are worn out and they smell a little stale, the ink is still very visible. I turn the book over in my hands and read the Latin words on the peeling hardcover. “The Genetics of Elemental’s.” The book is snatched from my hand before I could even ask what it is about and I glance up in surprise to see how pale she’s gotten. “You read Lat-Latin?”

Everyone agreed. "Anything else is mentioned Emily?" Leo enquired. "No sir Leonard. Only this much is mentioned here." She replied. "Here in this book they haven't mentioned anything about what elements and how is the pattern. Just spells." Alex pointed. "The information is vague. Can't rely on that." Vivi added. "I already mentioned it. We can't rely on magic itself." Leo said. "Emily, do you know anything about elements?" Adi asked her. "Let me scan my memory, Miss Adi." Emily said and within a few seconds she replied again, "I have found five elements in nature. They are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Ether."

I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?
