Elf Story Book Novels & Stories

before entering another room filled with machines. “What is this?” Eva asked giving the book to Everest. “This was brought to the library just recently, it’s called ‘The birth of disaster’.”

She pushed it open. It was a library. There were thousands of books. They went all the way from the floor to the high ceiling. The room smelled like old paper and honey. In the center of the room, there was a small desk with one very old book on it. The book was open. Elara walked to the desk. She began to read. The words were simple, but they told a scary story. The book was about Silas and his family. It told the secret of the curse.

She pointed with her finger and ran it down these books looking for a particular cover. “I have been saving this story for the right moment.” She directed her son to sit in the chair and when he sat down, she gave him the book. It looked ordinary to him, but it was obviously special to her. “This is the story of a young man who found a friend while on a journey. It is called ‘The Tale of Meru’.” He looked surprised because he was half expecting another history lesson. “Are you sure you have the right book?” “Yes, Yvayn, I am. I am not as boring as you would like to think I am.”

Eventually Elowen stopped before a small wooden table. One book rested upon it. Unlike the others, this one looked unfinished. Blank cover. Silver binding. No title. The library seemed quieter here. Waiting. Elowen touched the book gently. Then looked at us. "This one is special." Dangerous sentence. Hope immediately moved closer. Naturally. "What is it?" Elowen smiled. "A story still being written." Silence. The floating lanterns drifted overhead. Soft golden light danced across the blank cover. The book shimmered faintly.

It felt right. On the day the book was officially finished—printed galleys arriving at our door in a neat box—I sat at the kitchen table turning one over in my hands. The smell of fresh ink. My name and Callan’s on the cover. *Full Circle* by Brooks Callahan. Ellie wandered in from the living room, dragging her favorite blanket. She was six now, all long limbs and curious questions. She climbed into my lap and looked at the book. “Is that your story, Daddy?”

He had a book in his hand, a book that I had written a while ago. He did not say anything, he just put the book on the ground. And walked away. I looked at the book. I did not feel sad or angry. I felt like I had a lot of work to do in the future. I am Elowen, the Lunar Princess and my story is just starting.

“This project is… personal.” Her brows lift with interest. “Personal is good. Tell me about it.” I slide the manuscript across the table, my heart pounding as she picks it up. “It’s a series for children. Each book follows two siblings, Ella and Max, as they go on adventures that teach them about kindness, courage, and love. It’s not just about fantasy worlds or magical creatures, though there’s plenty of that. It’s about family and how the bonds we create can carry us through anything.”

Elion pulled a book from the shelf. "Here," Elion said. "Read this." Cale looked at the cover. The Hobbit. "Fantasy," Cale said. "Illogical." "It's a journey," Elion said. "Read the first page." Cale opened the book. He read. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit," Cale read aloud, his voice low. "Keep going." "Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell..."

Finally, he speaks, his light grey eyes still fixed on the dark forest crowded around our oasis of starlight. “Before I joined Fable, I thought I’d grow up to be a soccer player like my dad.” He says it without sadness or regret. His voice is calm, thoughtful, matter of fact. He must know that I’m aware of that. It’s common knowledge amongst Enfablers, and even non-fans too, that Elliot’s dad is one of the world’s most famous soccer players. That’s how he ended up at the private boys school where he met the other band members. Why’s he telling me this now?

*FLASH BACK* (Ella explaining) Ella reading a book, that book is very old, by looking anyone can say it is more 200 years old, book is very fat with thick pages like the books using in ancient times. This book contains a different types of plants showing many advantages and there are some insects also. This is the book Ella’s father gave her telling this belongs to their ancestors and they are carrying, studying from it and filling their own research in it, Ella also doing the same.
