Beatrice’s Smartphone rang out shortly after her discussion with Thomas had concluded. As always, her heart lifted when she heard the warm, mischievous voice of Maud coming through the speaker grill.
“Ye need to be stayin’ up past yer bedtime, me girl,” Maud said. “I got some info for ye.”
