Olivia Keller Drew was the first person I saw when I stepped into the library, the library was basically empty, except from the librarian, old Mrs Anderson who was already asleep on her desk. Huge, tall shelves with lots of books piled in them were at each corners of the library. Middle sized shelves were placed all over the place, the library wasn't that huge but it was packed with enough books. The air unit was rattling, piercing the silence with its annoying noise. I could literally smell the books, the smell of old books and fresh prints.

She looked casual as she had expected herself to so she nodded her head in confirmation ready to go. She picked up each book and stuffed them into a canvas bag. With a canvas bag slung over her shoulder, Elaine stepped through the library's grand entrance. The familiar scent of aged pages and polished wood greeted her, invoking a sense of calmness that only a library could offer. Ellie’s POV The library was smaller than I expected, really just one long room at the back of the meeting house. But it was packed full, the shelves stretching all the way from the floor to the ceiling. Small, but mighty; exactly what I needed. The section on local plant life was tucked between a section on historical accounts and fiction novels, which was an interesting method of organization, to say the least. To my dismay, there were only three books in the entire section. Not so mighty, I supposed.

I asked. "I was not sure I ever was," she admitted. "That was the cowardice of it." I nodded. I looked at the books on the shelf behind her. The photographs in their silver frames. "Who was the source?" I said. A pause. Then Eloise said, "My sister." I looked at her. "She worked in Forsythe's company," Eloise said. "She had been feeding us information for two years. She retired to the south of France the following winter and has been there since."

Maya asked. "Of course," Lora said. "The library is fully accessible." Maya spent forty minutes in the library, running her fingers along shelves of books that ranged from ancient leather-bound volumes in languages she didn't recognize to modern first editions she'd have killed to own. She pulled several out, examined them, put them back with the careful reverence of someone who genuinely loved books. Eventually, Lora had gently mentioned continuing the tour, and Maya had reluctantly left the library with a mental list of volumes she intended to come back for.
