I only want to take the booklet, but the library is so tempting to explore, I decide to stroll around. "Of course. I understand." As they moved down the hall, Michael pointed out the offices of the people she'd met at the first interview, Stan Hodges, Ellen Standifer, and John Hemphill. Oris's POV My daily visit to the library was never a chore for me, my safe space and haven for knowledge and learning about the world. I would always enter with a smile. But today, a smile definitely broadened my face when I saw Elsie in the library waiting for me. Sat upon the desk I liked to sit and read, my eyes studied her figure beneath the simple white shirt which hugged her tightly and down to the casual jeans. No matter what Elsie wore, she looked breathtaking.

Olivia’s POV The musty scent of old tomes swirled around me as I settled into my favorite spot in the library's far corner. I spread my notes across the worn oak table, determined to lose myself in the investigation and escape the whirlwind of emotions Elroy had stirred up. It was the way Elroy defended me, voice firm, with a fire in his eyes. The way he turned to me afterwords with a genuine, almost childlike joy, like a little boy on Christmas morning. His smile had all but split his face in half.

"I'll order someone to pick them up here." "I can do that." But he shook his head. "No. You're not going anywhere." Of course. Eliot would prohibit me from leaving the pack house. "The library is in the old pack house on the east side. Someone will deliver to you tomorrow." "Is it abandoned?" I had never heard of the old pack house before, even in my previous life. "No, but not a house anymore. We use it as a school now." I nodded in understanding. If it was a school, I knew one in the eastern. It might be what Eliot meant.

She felt sorry for her mind straying from him, even when he was taking off his time to show her around. Noah took a step ahead and pushed the door open. The double door swung open inwards, revealing the treasures behind it.

I had to think of another way. While I was walking in the Corridor, my eyes caught the way to the Library. I smiled at the thought because I was sure I would find some information there. I hurriedly walked in here and met Eloisa. She is in charge of the books here. I just raised an eyebrow at her and pretended to just read. "I'm just going to read. I'm bored," I said. "Are you bored when Alpha isn't there?" he teased. "I don't want to fight, Eloisa. I don't have time for that," I said to her seriously.

Sat at the table with Eli. The drawing between us. The library down the hallway where Orla was giving Aldene Marsh twelve years of a thing she had been carrying alone. The estate around us. Warm and present and holding all of it the way it held everything. After ninety minutes the library door opened. I heard Marsh’s voice in the hallway, professional and measured, saying something about follow up documentation. Then Orla’s voice, quieter. Then footsteps. Orla appeared in the kitchen doorway. She looked lighter.
