The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back)
She asked, and I’m not sure if it’s because of her facial expression but I could have sworn I heard a heart pounding in fear.
“Take a seat. There’s nothing wrong.” I rose to my feet, shut the door and took a seat next to her.
I asked her again, “What’s bothering you? You seem so drained all the time, is the work load too heavy? Is there something I can do to help?”
A single rolled down her cheek and her head was faced down, she quickly wiped her tears and responded, “It’s so silly, I feel so embarrassed. I’m sorry.”
I reached for the box of tissue and handed it over to her, “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about and to feel sorry for, dear.”
