The Coven of the Crow and Shadows

The Coven of the Crow and Shadows

Ari states putting the robe properly on and tying it. “Well, she is finally free to be seen, heard, and admired. No more hiding in the shadows.” “I thought you liked shadows. I mean, isn’t your whole coven about death and shadows.” She raises her eyebrows at me as she puts her hands on her hips in defiance. I chuckle. “I’m born from and in darkness. The shadows have always been a part of my life, so yes, I like shadows. For you, it’s different. You were forced to hide in the shadows, never allowed to show your true self. I control the shadows, but the shadows control you, for now. ”

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

He just had this tendency to be so arrogant that irked Briane so much he desired nothing more but to fight him one-on-one. “Shadows are being that are hard to control. It’s a creature you can’t just get by waiting for it to come to your doorstep,” Mr. Heirt was saying, walking back and forth in front of them, wearing a cloak with golden threads, addressing them as though they’re kindergarten. “To be linked with your shadow, you must train; otherwise, your shadow’s overwhelming power will dominate you, and you’ll say goodbye to this world.”

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

THE TRIBID HOCKEY GOD & HIS OBSESSION

THE TRIBID HOCKEY GOD & HIS OBSESSION

Enough to remember. Enough to hate. Enough to want. When it’s done I don’t breathe. I don’t need to. I don’t blink. I don’t feel the ground the same way. I don’t feel anything the same way. I step forward. And the shadows move with me. Not around me. With me. Like they’re part of me. Because they are. I lift my hand. It shifts. Expands. Sharpens into something lethal. Beautiful. Perfect. I smile.

Marked in Shadows

Marked in Shadows

At that moment, I realized I could calmly accept Matteo's devotion to Sabrina. After being discharged, I returned to the company and continued to work diligently as usual. During that time, I tried to avoid direct communication with Matteo, entrusting all pack work to the next Beta. When I placed the documents he needed on his desk and prepared to leave, Matteo called out to me from behind. "This afternoon, I'm going on a business trip to Shadowridge Pack. You and Sabrina are coming with me." My body stiffened. Just as I was about to refuse, Matteo shut his office door. I swallowed my protest and kept silent.

She had to do what was best for her and those who depended on her. Grant wasn’t fooled that counselor might not see it, but he and Hunter did, the shadows that were in Angel’s eyes. The Alpha's Poisoned Mate

The Alpha's Poisoned Mate

It answered me now. Behind me, something shifted. I didn’t need to turn to know—the shadows had begun to stir. They slithered along the stone walls, curling, pulsing like they breathed. Like they waited, waiting to show the world what we were. I inhaled deeply, letting the darkness within me rise. It coiled through my limbs, slow and sinuous, a living thing that had always been there, waiting for release. The shadows reached for me—tendrils brushing my skin, wrapping around my wrists, whispering promises I didn’t dare speak aloud.

Betrayal's Embrace

Betrayal's Embrace

Katy's Point of View. We entered into the dark place. I couldn't see anything but I knew I wasn't alone. And I also knew that there was no heater there. It was a few seconds in and I was already freezing to death. Light illuminated the room again and I searched for who turned the light on. It was Carson. My eyes found Charmaine who stood at the other corner of the room, her hand clutching tightly to a baseball bat. She exhaled, touching her chest with her free left hand.

From Shadows, Emerging Tides

From Shadows, Emerging Tides

Melody stands at the top of the stairs and looks down at her children and the two dogs in the amber light, and then she closes the door carefully, the way you close a door to a room where someone you love is sleeping. Upstairs the shop is all shadow and salt-smell. Outside, the wind has a voice now. Not a howl—too early for that—but a presence, a register, the bottom note of something that will get louder. The boards over the windows make it dim as dusk in here, though the sky has only just gone to amber.
