"May I give you a hug?" I opened my arms and we embraced. Somehow it felt like feeling my mother's arms around me, because they were the arms of a loving mother who had searched for her daughter for so long but could move forward. We stayed embraced for a while, and when we pulled apart, she still caressed my face.

Tears caressed my cheeks as I grabbed what I could possibly find to throw as I shouted random words and sentences of how I hated this sick twisted reality. He lies comfortably naked, while I shiver with cold despite wearing clothes. He notices that I’m feeling cold, so he opens his arms for me. “Come here, Little Miss. You’ll feel warmer.” Without thinking anything, I move closer and rest my head on his chest. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me into his warmth. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat fills my ears, making me feel so calm. His embrace feels protective, like nothing bad can touch me when I’m with him. His arms feel like home—safe, warm, and comfortable.
