In the Darkness of City Blocks

In the Darkness of City Blocks

The best way to incapacitate someone or hide something is with the Shadow Pin. The back felt the wet wall, the trembling intensified, Alud slowly shifted his gaze to the approaching silhouette. Thoughts were confused in a mess, creating various solutions to get out of this situation. Nobody likes a stalemate, nobody likes being a rat in a corner, not everyone can handle it - that's survival.

OUTCAST: FIRST BLOOD

OUTCAST: FIRST BLOOD

“You are chosen. Those two truths override everything else.” The First Shadow shifted. Its towering form lowered—its spine bending in a slow, unnatural arc—until its massive, hollow head leveled with Emily’s height. Golden-red reflections danced across its bone-dark skin, cast from the lingering glow still radiating off Adrian’s chest. Emily backed up reflexively, only to press against Adrian’s torso. Adrian stepped immediately in front of her, claws half-drawn, shoulders tense enough to snap. “Back. Away from her,” he growled.

Shadows of the past

Shadows of the past

As the photographers snapped away, Mr P and other men accompanying her graciously cleared path. With grace and elegance, she ascended the staircase, captivating everyone's attention. As Rex watched in awe, he couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, extending his hand to her like a true gentleman. The radiance on his face was undeniable as they made their way to the hall where the grand unveiling of the new project was set to take place.

She glanced at Maya and Kira, their wolves tense, confirming they felt it too—a slimy, smoky presence targeting only the women. “Lucas, more on Nightshade,” Aurora mindlinked, her voice steady despite the unease coiling in her chest. “Anything that explains this energy.” Lucas’s chestnut wolf surged to the center, his golden eyes sharp. “Nightshade rivals Silver Moon and Shadowfang in legacy,” he began, his voice clear through the link. “Centuries ago, twin alphas Fenrir and Faber Nightshade were born to lead Shadowfang. They fell for the same she-wolf, fated to Faber. Heartbroken, Fenrir founded Nightshade, carving a territory steeped in the land’s spirits. Their rituals, passed down throug

The Regretful Ex-wife

The Regretful Ex-wife

It appeared that the tables had turned. "You're all doomed, Simon Lakeworth! The Shadow Guardian has mobilized the shadow army. None of you will survive today!" Anson laughed wildly, as if witnessing the impending victory of the Xenoses and the inevitable downfall of the Lakeworths. The shadow army was one of His Excellency's most formidable trump cards. Despite their name, they resembled more demons from hell than mere soldiers. These shadow soldiers were devoid of pain or life, functioning as relentless killing machines. They would continue fighting until their limbs were severed; even decapitated, they would press on with their mission.

This book really tests my patience, it’s like a 4 year old Chinese kid has written this book for Americans. It takes ages for any story to move forward or any twist to unravel itself, any interest in anything is gone by the really really bad dialogues. Interesting premise wasted to make it lengthy

Under the Shadow of the Moon

Under the Shadow of the Moon

“She can’t go because if she’s spotted, she’ll get in trouble. My sister and I can go.” “Your faces will be expected to be covered by masks,” Matteo states. “What, do you think they like to look into the faces of the people serving them? Omegas are supposed to be as invisible as possible to those people, and unremarkable in every way. They should never stand out. They should remain in the shadows. That’s where our advantage lies. You never expect your own shadow to wrap its hands around your neck, do you? You don’t expect it to have a mind of its own. Its purpose is to follow you around forever, and do what you do. Well, that was our role before. Now, we fight for something better.” His spee

SHADOW HEIRS

SHADOW HEIRS

“Pregnant and still fine as hell.” Aria backed up slowly. Her heart raced, but not with fear, with something darker. Excitement. The leader grabbed her arm. “Come on, mama. We’ll be gentle.” She smiled. It wasn’t a nice smile. The shadows answered. One man flew backward into the wall as if hit by an invisible force. Another screamed as darkness wrapped around his throat. The third tried to run. Aria caught him by the collar with strength she shouldn’t have, slamming him into the pavement. Her eyes glowed faint silver for a second.

Beneath The Shadows

Beneath The Shadows

The truck sped across the muddy beaten path full of tire tracks from other vehicles. Lukas stared at the bright sky. Even if it was morning, the fact that the things they fight in the shadows existed made the world a dark one that no sunrise could ever illuminate. Back when he was living in ignorance, everything was colorful but when he was pulled into a battlezone where incarnated nightmares are the belligerents, everything just becomes black and white. And he thought that the Moro rebellion was dark enough. This conflict, simply known in the documents as the Shadow War, had made him see everything.

The Last Signal

The Last Signal

The neon sign buzzed to life with a sharp crack, light flooding the alley. The shadows hissed and recoiled, writhing against the glow. Emma’s pulse surged with hope. Maybe she could fight back. Maybe she could survive this. But she knew it wouldn’t last. The neon flickered, faltered, then died. The shadows advanced again, slower this time—but relentless, deliberate, adaptive. Emma pressed herself flat against the wall, chest heaving, watching as they slithered closer, each movement precise and terrifying. One shadow reached the base of the building, pausing to stretch toward her. She held her breath, praying it wouldn’t look up. Then she spotted the roof access above her—a chance to keep cli
