she threw a warm smile over her shoulder, directed at Elliot. I moved back a little, walking slowly next to Elliot, “Is she talking about Chaos?” I whispered. “Mhmm,” he responded with a light nod. My mind was swirling with questions. How did she know with a single glance at Elliot? Xantha’s main castle was stunning. The exterior was a deep, almost black-blue stone with creeping vines covering a large portion of the walls. Crystal clear blue waters surround the base of the castle, flowing into nearby canals that traveled away from the castle. The guards posted on each side of the door bowed as we walked across the bridge before opening the large double doors.

Her beauty draws the attention of many, but her focus is solely on William. As she reaches him, her sultry smile deepens, and she tilts her head slightly. "Hey there," she purrs, her voice smooth and inviting, "mind if I join you?" William gestures to the space beside him on the luxurious couch, leaning back casually as he observes her with a blend of curiosity and amusement. Camilla sits down, crossing her legs gracefully, her every movement calculated to emphasize her allure. Her dress shifts slightly, revealing even more of her toned legs and hinting at her intent.

Emma lifted her hand and gently placed my fingers back on her neck like she was daring me. “You can try again,” she whispered, eyes glittering. “If you need further confirmation.” She waited for a beat, but I couldn't do anything. My hands remained slack around her neck as I stared at her in absolute shock. This wasn't the sweet, innocent, and docile Emma that I knew. This was a witch, a demon in a skin. When I didn't do anything, she pushed my hands away and sat up, smoothed her robe, and looked down at me like I was already beneath her.

Blossom POV After driving through the night, Dean and I arrive at his family's estate—a sprawling castle that has stood for nearly a millennium. Over the centuries, it has been furnished, refurbished, and expanded, adding layers of character to its ancient walls. The center tower, known as the "keep," boasts a spire that reaches toward the heavens, embodying a sense of reverence for the past. Inside the keep, an atrium is adorned with a magnificent staircase that spirals upward to the very top of the tower.

"Anyways, go to your room and change into some comfortable clothes. I'll get the food served." Emma happily obeyed. She walked down the short hallway to her old room and sat down on her familiar bed. Her small room was beautifully decorated with silk blue orchids. Even though they were artificial to save money, they looked incredibly beautiful in the vase. Although her tiny room was absolutely nothing special compared to the King estate, she missed its safety deeply. Sighing contentedly, she laid down on her mattress for a few quiet moments, peacefully thinking only of her good memories. She was entirely, blissfully unaware of the fact that the Satan who was violently eager to see her again

Emma’s jaw slackened slightly as they walked through the walkway which was stretched ahead, flanked by manicured gardens, white roses glowing under discreet garden lights. The mansion loomed at the end, an architectural masterpiece of old money and inherited pride. Her eyes widened. “This isn’t a house, Chris. It’s a palace.” Christopher smirked as he wrapped his hands around her waist causing Emma to look at him for a moment before turning her attention back to where they were going. “Practicing,” he said raising both hands in surrender slipping them around her waist again. “You should see the summer estate.”

EMMA Over the course of the next few nights, I wake before sunset and, slipping on my servant’s dress, sneak out of the castle to the other castle ruins and down into that room. I don’t know if he is a rogue or something else, but I seem to be called back to him. I feel like I am 13 again and I am sneaking out of my cell and then out of the Master's chambers to go and see Ali in her room in the servant's quarters.

“You look… nice.” “Thanks,” I said quietly. “It was my mom’s.” His smile softened. “Then it’s perfect.” Before I could say anything, Lilla popped up beside me with a paper plate of s’mores. “Emma! I didn’t know you’d actually come. You’ve been keeping secrets from me.” “Hi to you too,” I said, laughing. She handed me a marshmallow stick. “You deserve this. I saw Connor’s face when you walked up — he looked like someone just handed him the answers to life.”

Night was falling when Emma burst through the castle gates like a storm. Her body was slick with sweat, eyes sharp and scanning the crowd like blades. Without hesitation, she grabbed a passing servant. “Elias! Have you seen him?!” she asked in a low voice, but her tone was razor-sharp, urgency pouring from every word. A few familiar guards nearby paused. Though her appearance was unfamiliar and her clothes plain, they recognized her voice and exchanged surprised glances. One of them whispered, “Are you… the new Captain of the Guard?”
