She picked up the textbooks and threw them on top of her bag. There. That was everything. It suddenly dawned on Emma that her bedroom was bare now. All she had in it were clothes and a few books. How could she have ever called this place her home? She had managed to fit all of her possessions into a couple of bags; there was no sign that she had ever been there now. There were no posters or pictures on the walls, no gifts from her Alpha, nothing. Just Emma and Emma alone. There was just a bed with its bedside table, a wardrobe, and a desk. Even though her desk was completely clear, she'd never used it other than to store socks and underwear in its drawers.

The way appears totally clear in her front. A large building of Garnet and Grace appears on her left. The yellow-lit showroom behind the glass reveals several mannequins standing inside. One white dress with queen anne neckline catches her attention. Her mind slips into her memory from three years ago. Emma is lying over her bed in her comfy white pajamas with small black dots. A dark orange top is over her flat belly. Her head is supported with two fluffy pillows. Big square eyeglasses with a very thin black frame are over her bisque nose.

Unaware of the intrusion, Emma approached the bed where Justin lay fast asleep. Emma began undressing, one piece of clothing at a time, and slipped under the covers beside him. The mattress shifted slightly under her weight, stirring Justin from his slumber. Half-awake, he opened his eyes, his vision blurry.

When she turned onto her side, she noticed a jug of water beside her bed. Next to it was an empty glass. She gently picked up the jug with her trembling fingers and poured water into the glass. She sipped it down in a few gulps. Her throat had been incredibly dry, and the water helped to ease it. Though she didn’t eat quickly, she ate a lot and didn’t even realize she was already full. And so, the evening passed smoothly and quietly. For the first time, Emma got to sleep on a soft, comfortable bed. The bedroom wasn’t as large as her mother’s, but it was warm and cute in design. There were many stuffed animals and sparkly decorations that made Emma's eyes light up and her lips curl into a small smile. "Feels like a dream..." she whispered softly before falling asleep.
