Old Zhang's words hit like a bomb. My device rang. Gang Wolf's name flashed. "Caleb," Gang Wolf sounded urgent. "Emma tried to kill herself an hour ago. She's at the Pack Healer's Ward. She's asking for you." The device almost slipped. "What happened?" "Cut her wrists. Aaron found her. She left a note with your name." Gang Wolf paused. "Are you coming?"

As from now on, I would be the one deciding things for the benefit of us all, and the first thing was to have him removed from our lives. Because no matter how much I tried to brush it off my mind, I think he is connected to Kael’s death, as I found something at the crime scene—something that could implicate Emma if it was seen. There’s panic in his eyes. Like he doesn’t know why. He’s gone when I see clear again. Another stranger I killed for no reason.

I walked into the crime scene, under the police tape, to face a crowded group of police crowded around a solitary body on the ground with marks on her body. People were crowded around the area murmuring to themselves but none of them knew what really happened. The victim was identified as Natalie Gray, my best friend. I stood dumbstruck and couldn't move. The well-worn sound of sirens echoed around. My best friend was brutalized in the worstest way. I went closer to her body and noticed her eyes were swollen. Tear streaks were on her face. There were signs of marks on her body to indicate struggle. She begged but the murderer took no pity on her.
