' Reina rebuked her. Emmaline's vulnerability wasn't hidden from her but the way she was losing control, Reina feared she would reveal her identity. Emmaline was born with a special power. Unlike other werewolves, she could change with or without the consent of her wolf. The bridle of her decisions was in her hands. Even if Reina is calm, Emmaline can evoke her if someone pisses her off. The best example was David whom she nearly choked to death when Reina was initially trying to calm her down. But that jerk kept pissing her off and eventually pushed her wolf’s buttons as she had to come out to defend her friend.

Elder Summers looked into my eyes as I approached. "She's just like Samantha." I said quietly. "Yeah, where do you think Sam learned it from? Matilda loves that girl like her own child." The room beyond was something of a cross between an office and a throne room, with a large ornate chair sitting behind a massive mahogany desk. Perched on the desk itself instead of the chair was a female, not much older than Ava, and gorgeous in a way that was almost intimidating but somehow familiar. With warm caramel skin and a heavy fall of wavy dark hair falling to the small of her back, she was stunning, for sure, but it was her vivid green eyes that spoke to Ava. “Ava, Alphas, I’d like to introduce you to Emmaline Adaire,” Marnie said, striding confidently forward. “Reigning Alpha of Pack Grave Crown.”

I swiped a bead of sweat that trickled down my neck and reached for a dandelion when I heard a loud cheerful voice call out to me. “Claire! Look at me!” Emmaline’s chirped up. I snapped my head back and saw Emmaline with a wide grin on her face. She held a dandelion to her ear and settled it there. “I look pretty don’t I? Like a princess,” She said and swayed around, taking tiny hops like she was dancing a ballet routine. I chuckled at her and saw Danica appear behind her. She plucked the dandelion from behind her eyes and rolled her eyes.

And then, she came. Emmalaine glided into the chamber with that dangerous elegance of hers, the hem of her crimson gown whispering against the stone floor. In her hand, she carried a lantern, its light casting eerie shapes against the carved walls smeared with dark symbols. She stopped before the altar and retrieved a small glass vial.

Aurora grinned. God, I can’t wait for my kids to say cute little mispronunciations. I placed Dante down on the ground and stood back up to greet Amelie. “Hi Amelie,” I said, smiling. “Hello, little Miss Emma.” Emma is the cutest little girl. She’s a lot smaller than her siblings, but you can tell behind her big, beautiful brown eyes that she’s an old soul. She always looks at you like she’s trying to read you and evaluate.

Her sister was like a magnet, drawing both the good and bad to her. "Well.." Emma said, biting her lips. She didn't know where and how to start. Thinking of it now, a lot had really happened in just her five days here. It wasn't even up to a week. "I'm still waiting.." Amelia said, having sharpened her ears unconsciously to hear stories. "Well, there's Melvina.." Emma stated. "Melvina? Who is Melvina?" Amelia asked. Emma smiled, as she thought best on how to describe her only female acquittance here.

The doorbell rang. Chantelle froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She heard her cousin Isabella get up to open the door. She couldn't hear what was being said, but she heard the sound of someone else coming into the house. After a few moments, her uncle came back into the kitchen, followed by his wife. "Chantelle," Rosemary her uncle's wife called out. "Yes ma" She answered."
