I used to think romance novels were silly. I mean you would agree with me that some things in romance novels don’t make sense. For example, whenever the main characters kissed the sensation of the kiss was described as an electric feeling and I always wondered why a kiss would feel like electric pulses in my veins and who wanted to feel shocked by electricity while they kissed? But right now I’m beginning to think that maybe I have been kissing the wrong people.

Sleep would most definitely be eluding me tonight. But I didn’t particularly care. My big vice was romance novels. I just loved them. And the cheesier and sappier and more unrealistic they got, the more I invested myself in them because, by that point, it was pretty much only the emotions they seemed to evoke that mattered. They were just so yummy and fulfilling and...and amazing. I devoured them like potato chips, damning any sleepless-night consequences that might follow. So basically, I was pretty much determined to finish this entire book tonight.

The whole house was boring and the atmosphere was gloomy, I decided to go into the study, when I was in there with Damon I could recall seeing romance novels on the bookshelf. I am a true lover of romantic novels, they get your spirit high with the sexiness of the male lead and gracefulness of the female but one thing that lacks in all romantic plot is that all are the same, there hasn't been anything new but who cares...... While I checked the bookshelf I notice a couple of erotic novels in there, you should know that I am very happy.

Of course, I also have other books. For some reason, 'Endless Poison Love' is my favorite romance novel because I can feel the Author's feelings being poured into it. Sure, the plot, characters, scenes, words, and lessons are good, but it's the Author's way of writing that has got me hooked. She's a genius.

I needed to cut her off. "Look, they're doing the walking around the fire thing." She said. I hummed non committal. "I read about it in this book by Drethi Anis. Five thousand nights of obsession. The book was so good." "You read?" I asked. I had never seen any book in her apartment or caught her with a book. "Yes." She blushed, then quietly. "Romance books." "You don't strike me as the romance type." I looked at her intently. "Is it one of those raunchy books with shirtless men carrying scabbards on the cover."

I flipped through it, reading a scene where the hero pins the heroine against a wall, thrusting into her with raw passion.

In my hands was a book. A werewolf novel. Fake Dating My Ex Alpha Mate’s Rival Biker Stepbrother. The title alone would have made me laugh a few weeks ago. It was written by N-Victory, an author whose stories I had loved for years. I had found the book that morning in the small library room downstairs and had been hooked ever since the doctor left. My eyes moved across the pages quickly. The characters were dramatic. Emotional. Chaotic. Exactly the kind of romance stories I used to devour without thinking. But not as dark as the ones I used to love.
