I hear him say. "Do you really have to torment me?" I mutter, leaning back against the wall. Shinee smiles at me playfully, that glint in his eye suggesting he's enjoying my embarrassment. Just to add to it all, colour blooms at my cheeks. I'm sure by now he would have figured, since I'm Aidana, the Moon Goddess who is meant to be the purest being to ever exist...how ironic.

Xyana watches our hands for a while, then she swallows the rest of her wine and drops the cup on the table, making a very loud sound she intends would annoy us while at it. Ezra, ever attentive, fills her glass again, a sweet smile on his face. Roldolf looks at me, seeking permission to proceed with the next phase of discussion. Once I nod, he clears his throat, drawing everyone's attention to himself. "We are grateful to the Moon Goddess for making today a reality. Luna," he calls Xyana, bowing to show respect, "you don't know how long we've waited, prayed, and hoped for you."
