Choosing Fate

Choosing Fate

I then say the words needed to ensure the magic comes to life. “Gada prati vadha. Sarve.” Sickness to death. Everyone. “What fuckin’ language is that?” Grizz huffs from his spot back in the chair. I suppress my growl, annoyed that he’s interrupting me. “Sanskrit,” I grumble. “Aren’t spells usually done in Latin or somethin’?”

The Mate They Threw Away

The Mate They Threw Away

I said. "Come and see this," Marcus waved me and the ladies over. There was a parchment of an old scroll splayed open on a transparent table with a magnifying glass beside it. I peered into the scroll and frowned. "The words are written in a different language," I said. "Those are incantations to summon, Hell Wolves," Marcus replied and pointed to another part of the. It was a drawing. Despite how old the drawing was, it perfectly captured the depiction of fiery werewolves and the they were tree in number.

“And these are sacred things I cannot share. But I do not know what your power will be, if that is your next question.” It was, of course. “The visions are vague, and I must interpret them,” she adds. I nod. “Thank you for telling me this,” I say. “And for letting me read the tome. I have a lot more to study from it on the way back.” “It is yours to peruse at your leisure,” she says. “The translated version that you have now is always available to all.” “Translated?” “Yes, the original is in the Moon Goddess’s ancient language, Goslevaere.”

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Klaira Blainsbook morning
Kelly instructed after she made sure Greta had the stone. Greta didn’t believe anyone would leave. There’d been too many things happening in town for these people not to want to see it to the end. “I’m sorry, but I’m forced to read this part out in the old tongue because I didn’t have time to translate it. I translated the other parts to make it easier for you. That shouldn’t change the ritual in any fashion.” With the grimoire from the cabinet propped up on a stone, Kelly began by reading something out loud. It was definitely not in English and, to Greta’s surprise, it wasn’t in Latin either. This language, whatever it was, she’d never heard before and it made Greta wonder why this graceful

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.

Alpha Raven

Alpha Raven

Charlotte asks while looking at the page filled a list of words that looks like they are arranged in alphabetical order. Katya and Azraiel scoot closer to get a better look at what she is referring to. Katya scrunches her brows in concentration trying to translate any of the words with the letters they have recognized so far. Azraiel picks up the page on which they have written the translated symbols. “No..” He whispers. Katya and Charlotte look at him in question. “These are not herbs or ingredients for any spell.” He picks up the pen and translates the word he has been looking at on the blank paper.

Could it be that there were others already here before we came along? Wilt had an idea. He asked us to put the translation stones on the ground. Once we did, almost all English writings magically changed into several languages before our eyes. I recognized some of them. We were astonished for a bit before we picked up our stones. “Katie, try to think of French and see if it does read French,” Wilt said. Katie squinted for a few seconds. “You’re right. I can also switch it to English.” “It’s all Finnish to me,” Alex said.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I try to think if I’d read or heard about anything like that or seen anything like that kept in our vault, but I’m coming up blank. I shake my head, “I can’t recall seeing anything like that,” I say guiltily. It’s the one thing they ask for and I can’t give it to them. “This tablet, does it have glyphs on it?” Lemuel suddenly asks, surprising me. Isolde begins to nod furiously, “Yes! It’s written in the language of the Gods. Have you seen it?” “I think I have, and so have you,” Lemuel says, looking at me.

Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

— Those were the only ones I found in my language, so there’s no more stuff here. I could see her turning the table, stopping beside me. Her fingers touched my hand lightly. Seeing the little tattoo with a strange symbol appear on my skin, I looked at it, so Logan, I had no idea what it meant or why she was doing it. — We have an easy time learning languages from any part of the human world, but ordinary humans have a lot of difficulty with our languages, that mark and a welcome gift, that and a transferred knowledge spell, will help you read whatever language I have already learned, now just like me, you know only the 150 languages I know.
