Cassidy greeted, hugging Riko back. “Collin’s brain?” Justin laughed as he and Ben joined us. “Burn,” I gave him a high five. “Hilarious guys,” Collin rolled his eyes. “That would imply he ever had one,” Cassidy scoffed. “I love you too, babe,” Collin feigned offense. “Anyway,” Cassidy rolled her eyes. “We had an announcement to make,” Cassidy’s expression went serious. “What’s going on?” Riko frowned. “Well, I’m sorry to tell you that the end of the world is coming. The antichrist will be born in June,” Cassidy sighed with a completely straight face.

It's just that I've heard so many things about the end of the world and it just hunts me and makes me think too deeply. What if there will be no new era after this? What if we're just looking forward to nothing? What if the 'end of the world' in the book I've read really is true? What if the mess that humans made is already too much to handle that it'll even give up on fighting to keep us alive? No one knows... And that's why we definitely need to succeed for this. We aren't heroes but we can still save this world without those damn powers from fantasy books that really keep on making me wonder but that's just useless so better just focus on this mission than think of useless things.

With those evil people out of the way, the world will be a more bearable place for everyone, at least for the meantime. The End.

His clenched fists finally relaxed, and he turned to the door before walking out. Everything Zach had depended on these past few days had finally collapsed, leaving nothing but ruins behind. Wade watched Zach leave, saying nothing other than hugging the urn even tighter. I looked at my hands. They were starting to fade at the edges.
