“Everything is right where I need them to be. "Well, you always end your stories with the leads ending up together." James pointed out. “What is so difficult with this ending?” "I know. I just want to do something different with this book. What if the ending would be different compared with my other novels? I am thinking of giving the readers the choice of how the story ends. Like ending it with a total cliffhanger."

Lyrics POV After we get home from the cliff and those imbeciles having the audacity to invite us to their pack I go to my room and pick up the book I’ve been reading and plop down on my bed. Today has been absolutely exhausting and thankfully the twins offered to make dinner so I get to be lazy tonight. I get a few chapters in before I get restless and decide to hop in the shower before dinner. I can’t seem to get those twin wolves off my mind and I have no clue why. We have met a few people over the years when we would go visit human towns but I never felt a pull to them and I’ve never been attracted to them so why out of all the species do I have to be stuck on freaking werewolves. Because there was no cover to lift. The book never closed. Because there was no cover to lower. The book was the opening. The book was the closing. The book was the reading. The book was the read. All one. Always one. Without oneness. This. The final chapter is not final. There was no first. There was no sequence. Only this. Appearing as sequence for a while. Appearing as progression. Appearing as development. Appearing as climax. Appearing as resolution. Appearing as dissolution.

And she knew, deep down, that she was right. Something was coming. The "happy ending" wasn't the end of the book. It was just the end of the chapter. And the next page... the next page was blank. And terrifying.
