It looks light enough in her hands, but when she places it on the countertop, it lands with a solid thud that says otherwise. She punches in a short code on the small brass lock and when it clicks open, she turns the box toward me.

I slowly lift myself up. I rub my chest and feel the little dots that the darts were in. I smell the air. I felt my wolf stir inside when we caught a faint scent of Izzy.

The survivors scattered, seeking refuge in the darkest corners of the warehouse, desperately hoping to evade their impending doom. All ring talk had fallen to the wayside as Silvercloud opened a case and took out some weird Star Trek-looking device and scanned the box. “Well, there is nothing inside that could explode or that appears to be hazardous to werewolves. I deem it safe to open.” Silvercloud concluded.
