I believe it is the Werewolf Committee’s warlock.” Dylan let go of Diana’s hand. He strode to the box and picked it up. The strong scent of blood assaulted his senses, but there was more. “There’s more than the scent of blood. It is like the scent of… sky.” “…sky,” Diana spoke with Dylan in unison. After what seems like hours, but really has only been minutes, Ash is fully transformed into a beautiful light gray, almost white wolf with a black marking on her forhead that is the shape of a half moon. Looking at the pile of presents in her room she decided she would open them and then go to bed. She sat on the floor opening the gifts one by one. As she came upon the last one, she noticed that it was wrapped in plain brown paper and had no name on it to tell her who it was from. She shrugged and started to open it; it was a box which she thought was weird but opened it anyway. When she opened it, she screamed, inside was a bloodied note stuck to a picture of a wolf. Old trees guarded the darkness in moderate silence. Occasionally, they'd sway and the crackling of leaves would be heard. Gina walked fast, relieved that Liana had finally stopped complaining. Malcolm flinched, taking a sharp step backward as a dark, crimson liquid began to seep out from the bottom corners of the cardboard, staining the spotless garage floor. I forced myself to look inside, and a blood-curdling scream fought its way up my throat. Tangled inside the box was a lifeless, heavily bleeding wolf. Its limbs were unnaturally contorted, and its eyes were glassy and vacant, staring blankly up at the ceiling.
