Whispers of Fate

Whispers of Fate

My gaze meets his in the rearview mirror, and I can sense the turmoil etched upon his face. His eyes, once filled with youthful innocence, now betray a tinge of sorrow. The bond between siblings, once unbreakable, is now strained by the circumstances that have unfolded. "I had no other choice, Ethan," I respond my voice a fragile thread of emotion. "I couldn't breathe in that house anymore, suffocating under their disappointment and judgment." His grip tightens on the steering wheel as he guides us through the bustling streets, a subtle backdrop to our conversation. The city, with its towering buildings and bustling rhythm, serves as a testament to the journey I am embarking upon—a journey t

Alpha Blake's Broken Luna

Alpha Blake's Broken Luna

I have difficulty breathing again, feeling like someone is pressing down and refusing to let go of my lungs. Someone lifts me up in the bed, gets in with me and places me down on their lap. By the scent I am inhaling, it's Blake. He cradles me against his chest, making me listen to his own calm heart. He just sits there with me until my breathing evens out. The door opens and closes without me noticing who is coming in or going out. “Are you okay, princess?” Blake asks into my hair. I shake my head. “How do you know him?” I ask, my voice shaking with absolute horror. Blake rocks me back and forth, making the sparks even more immediate than before.

Started the book 2 days ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. Thank God the FL met Alpha Blake who is just amazing in protecting her. Still curious about her wolf and why Alpha Bane can still feel the mate bond.

wonderful book! hard to put down! I had actually read it last year, but did not realize that I had until I was halfway into it, so I had to read it again to the end! there are a few grammaical errors, but not enough to cause issues.

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

“It will hurt as much as I want it to hurt, little girl. Now, be a good girl for Daddy and breathe.” Be a good girl. Like magic, those words unlocked something inside of her and she blew out the air she’d held trapped in her lungs with a loud whoosh. With her eyes still locked on his, she drew in another shaky breath, and another, until her muscles loosened and she realized the pain had faded, leaving behind only a strange kind of fullness. “Good girl. I’m going to move now, but I want you to keep breathing for me, baby.” Breathe. She could do that.

My vocal feels extremely neat over Inhaling his breath. Any inhaler will marvel at it but am different. Am stuck and trapped within an almost inevitable life or death jaw grip. You don't expect i marvel and admire ones minty breath amidst such unfavourable situation?.

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

he breathed, “so damn much?” Cheryl shut her eyes. It was all she could do as his mouth moved on hers sweetly… possessively. Emotion poured through her. An unstoppable tide. There was a sound of a throat clearing and an embarrassed little cough. Guiltily, Cheryl pulled free of Nikolas. Two huge books were placed in front of her.

Traci Williams
Loved this short story from E.S. This billionaire romance is told mostly from the ML perspective, I really struggled to see him as anything but the villain and a selfish self-centered jerk most of the book, but well, I’ll let you read it. ES always comes through with beautiful stories.

A well written story full of passion, emotion and the kind of problems that come from adults not communicating with each other. The male lead is flawed, very flawed, but has some decent character development, especially for a short story. The female lead’s emotions made me cry. Well worth reading

The Omega's Crown

The Omega's Crown

He had not been touched on the face by anyone, I thought, in a very long time. He closed his eyes. He turned his face into my palm. He stayed there. He breathed in for the count of four. He breathed out for the count of six. He did not put his hands on me. I did not put my mouth on him. I held the side of his face for the count of twenty, and he breathed against my palm, and somewhere in the second half of the count I felt his breath go out longer than it had been going in, the way a man's breath went out when a thing he had been holding finally went out with it.

HE REJECTED ME AT THE ALTER

HE REJECTED ME AT THE ALTER

She breathes in. For the first time — for the first time in forty years — she breathes the city in the way it is meant to be breathed. Not as a study, not as a survival mechanism, not filtered through an anchor point. Just: in. Clean. Hers. Her eyes close. She breathes out. The city receives it. --- Rael finds me at the building.

Owed to the Devil

Owed to the Devil

And now I had a child growing inside a body that didn’t even want to be alive anymore. If breathing hurts this much... Then maybe not breathing is the solution. No one would miss me. I was a stain people scrubbed off their memories. An eyesore they stepped around on the sidewalk. ----- The sun rose like it didn’t give a damn. the streets were mostly empty and the air still held the chill of the night, Isla couldn’t breathe through the noise in her head. One foot in front of the other. She didn’t know where she was going. Her shoes were gone, her body ached, and her stomach gnawed at itself like a starving animal.

The Lycans Twins Hidden Mate

The Lycans Twins Hidden Mate

My breath came shallow and sharp, each inhale scraping. “Easy.” Kaden’s voice. Right there. Close. His hand was already on my back, solid and grounding, fingers splayed like he was anchoring me to the present by force. “You do not get points for bravery,” he added quietly. “I was not trying to be brave,” I muttered. “I was trying not to drown in my own ribs.” Kael snorted from somewhere nearby. “That checks out.” I forced my breathing to slow. In. Out. The hum settled with it, coiling tighter, denser. Waiting.
