I felt like it should be raining. On TV, whenever someone dies, and there’s a funeral, everyone always wears black, and it’s raining. Even the umbrellas are black. People stand around a hole in the ground, weeping, as a coffin is slowly lowered inside. A priest crosses his chest, and everyone says amen.

Did people change a lot from my time? Sometimes I looked at how they act. They became more like us: the dead ones, they didn't care about each other all they care what life was on their phones. They are passing easily in not helping others as that couple made their way from Lilly. They knew Lilly was in trouble and they pretended that they didn't see anything, more important was their phone, they felt somehow more comfortable looking at it than seeing in their own eyes what is happening in the real world. And like everybody else they knew that involving in this situation would cause problems for them too.
