“Most of the glue has been removed. I will remove the stitches now.” Cold metal brushed against my skin and there was the snip of the shears. It pulled my eyelids together and I hadn’t really tried to open my eyes, but I was glad I didn’t. Considering they were not only glued by stitched shut. The pulling of the stitches finally came out and I sighed. “Open your eyes now.” It still felt like I was lifting weights with my eyelids but when I was finally able to crack them open, I squeezed them shut. Light filtered through them and it hurt.

I honestly didn’t know what he was checking for. He brought the glass close to his nose before he quickly pulled it away and threw both the glasses to the ground, surprisingly, the grass where the liquid landed turned black, and everyone covered their mouths in shock.

I walked over and she looked at me and suddenly took them off. "Don't take them off." I took the glasses and put them back on her eyes. "This is the first time I've seen you with them." "I lost my contact lens. Tomorrow I'll have a new one made, until it's ready you'll see me with glasses. At least my prescription isn't that strong, so I don't need them all the time." Manu looked discouraged. "And why that discouraged look?" "Because I don't like the glasses." I laughed at her angry expression.

“Sure.” "Ow! What's this?!" Clara reacted as expected, squinting her eyes in frustration. "How strong are these prescription glasses?" she asked. "It's actually 1.75," Rosie replied then laughed afterwards. “Ah figures.” Clara was about to give the glasses back when she noticed Leon glancing at them. "Leon, can you come closer for a sec?" Clara requested. She immediately had an idea in her mind. "Nope," he replied, anticipating Clara's intentions.

Her dad then let her down from his arms when he noticed that she did not seem unhappy anymore. "Will you tell Dada what made you so sad?" He said to her in a childish tone. She nodded her head and stared firmly at the floor. "Emily said she doesn't want to be my friend anymore because I have four eyes." She explained to her dad. "Ho, honey. Is that why you remove your glasses off your face?" Her mother asked, and she nodded her head. "Baby, the doctor prescribed the glasses for you yesterday to help your eyes see clearer. If you take it off, you cannot see well, and it may hurt your eyes." Her mom explained to her.

The elevator dinged and we walked to his cabin. He quickly pulled a chair and made me sit on it. He grabbed a pair of tweezers, I don't know why they were in his cabin, but they were. He pulled the bigger needles out and I fisted my other hand in order to restrain myself from letting any sound of pain escape from my mouth. After he was done, he applied a thin layer of glue on it and told me to wait for some time to let it dry.

I said, knowing that was the next part. "Yes!" she laughed again, her eyes slightly moist "My stepdad treated me so nice and I didn't wanna be the one to remind him of his pains" She sniffed, stretching a side of her lips. "I couldn't go for contact lens as I had a phobia for it and it was expensive, so I opted for thick glasses and sometimes black shades" She bit her lip for a second before she went on. "The glasses worked. It helped to slightly conceal the colour of my eyes and avoid dramas" She sounded like she wasn't the one who had gone through the emotional distress but the sharpness in her voice would not deceive me. She was hurt and I knew it.

He settled me into the passenger seat and walked around to the driver’s side. The silence inside the car was deafening. I sat there, curled into a ball, feeling like a pathetic mess. Sebastian reached over and took the broken shards of my glasses from my hand. I watched his blurred silhouette as he pulled a tube of glue from his glove compartment and began meticulously fixing the bridge. "They need to dry for a minute," he said, setting them on the dashboard. He turned in his seat, his arm draping over the back of mine. "Talk to me. What happened in there?"

Lawrence Gibson's POV "Her eyes are good now. But you will need to apply this eyedropper regularly until her vision became clear once again. In the test result, it was blurry. Maybe because of the chemical that was poured on them. But we already removed them through the surgery we just conducted to her. I will come back here after a week to see if there is anything alarming or if everything is going well..." I breathe in relief finally. It's been weeks. And in those weeks, I've witnessed how the great and professional doctors join forces and helped each other to heal her.
