Bound By the Billionaire

Bound By the Billionaire

I guessed trying to tear my straw open. May takes it from my fingers and bites it open, slips the straw free and hands it over. “Thanks” I mumbled and stabbed it through the opening on the lid of my cup. Her green eyes are smiling when she replies “He thrives here” I nodded and took a sip of my drink. Hmm.

Dwell with Snaedis

Dwell with Snaedis

My eyes widened in a desire to break the long glass container. I stood up while giving no care to those fires which climbed on my legs. I spotted those people who were observing me in detail, but those were not my attention. I positioned myself back in the middle and straightened my body as I stared at the glass with water. I can feel my eyes turned into a circulating blue as I pushed myself to scatter those water.

Reject Me, Alpha Tate

Reject Me, Alpha Tate

Good. "You look different," Maple said, studying me. "That's the idea," I said. "I like it," Rosy said simply, and went back to her book. I dried my hair and made a list. Two hundred medical masks with good quality, a new set of frames for the prescription lenses, different shapes from my usual ones. Colored contacts, green, which would shift my hazel eyes. I sent the list to Amber with a message asking her to order everything through the institute's supply account and mark it as lab materials.

Stranded in Thoughts

Stranded in Thoughts

The glass was pitch-black as if someone had dropped a tarp over it. But it wasn’t a tarp. I raised my phone, turning on the screen’s light. And then—I dropped it. The dim glow revealed something so grotesque and impossible. An eyeball. A massive, unblinking eye filled the entire window frame, staring back at me. The pale iris twitched, its black pupil jittering as if trying to focus. Blood vessels spread across its glossy surface. It was so detailed I could see the veins shift beneath the lens. It was nearly twice my size.

Falling Stardust

Falling Stardust

Megan saw his reaction and started to tear up too, she couldn't make out the people in the distance but she knew there was only one person in this world who could cause her husband to have such a reaction. She took an item from her storage ring and put it on her face. It was a pair of glasses with white frames that were filled with runes. Inside the frame was mana glass with even more runes around the edges. These were the new version of the zoom goggles that Xasha created, they were much more compact and stylish and worked better than the previous version.

Big Daddy Wants Me

Big Daddy Wants Me

"Can you fix it?" "Yes. Glasses, corrective lenses. We just need to give your eyes the same refractive power." The doctor stands and picks up a device that looks like spectacles on steroids, twisting two small, black wheels. She walks back over and holds it in front of my eyes. "Look through here. This is how the world will appear through glasses."

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The Jester. I stopped. My breath caught in a throat that had suddenly turned to sandpaper. In the center of the harsh white circle of light, the dolls were changing. Porcelain doesn’t move. Glass eyes do not react. But as the artificial glare of my phone hit their faces, I saw it—a synchronized, oily motion. All their pupils retracted. The black centers of those fixed glass eyes, which should have been nothing more than painted beads or static crystal, shriveled into pinpricks, reacting to the light exactly like a human eye.

The Vampire's Second Chance

The Vampire's Second Chance

Christine Mom observed me, her lips gently parted. Justin looked about the same, but his eyebrows rose above his head waiting. Not breaking their stares, my lips searched for the bright red straw that hung close to the rim of the glass. My lips finally found the ever fleeting straw, I sucked down the rest of my hard lemonade. The harsh sounds of the glass emptying caught my attention instead. Smacking my lips together, I turned away from the stares only to glance at the pitcher of lemonade. I shrugged my shoulders.

I’ve read every story in her series and I’m really confused about the name changes in this book - kingdom names have been changed, most of the characters names have been changed… I’m concerned this one might have been plagiarized from her? I love her books, not understanding the name changes.

I really enjoyed this one! I don't re-read books but I do believe I'll be saving this one to come back too!! Such a great story with twists and great character relationships, lots of different POV's!! Definitely my favorite!! I love the emotions you feel from this one :)

The Eye That Listened

The Eye That Listened

Hearing your thoughts and seeing what you can see… What's the difference? I did not reply. I merely showed her what the difference was. In front of Snowie's stunned gaze, I thrust my finger into my right eye and forcibly plucked my eyeball out. Of course, there would not be blood or gore. After all, my right eye was a prosthetic.
