I heaved a soft sigh upon seeing the brown hare in front of me. The hare, oblivious to my presence, continued nibbling on the leave in it's hands. I watched it for a moment, captivated by its peacefulness, though my heart still beat hard against my chest from the initial fear. Suddenly, the hare froze, seemingly noticing my presence. It's eyes locked with mine as it paused mid-bite, the leaf dangling from its mouth. For a moment, the two of us remained still and the urge to touch the hare overwhelmed me.

With those words, Frank vaulted down, lifting the tortoise and dropping it in front of Yancy. After a quick look, she frowned. "I don't think Harken made this. Look!" Holding the tortoise's head with both hands, she started to pull it out. As if alive, it seemed to resist Yancy's pulling intermittently. Though it was not immovable, she was not pulling it right out ever. Frank nodded—he could sense the faint breathing of the tortoise, so it should be alive, and a powerhouse just like the weasel he found at that other temple.

"Undeterred, the tortoise tried every method to persuade the hare, who remained unmoved. Finally, the tortoise pulled out a wad of cash and said, 'Consider this your fee for turning up!'
