Feeling embarrassed I tried to form words in my mouth. " No I didn't!" I yelled mortified. "Yes you did! You even still smell of it!" She yelled back making everyone laugh harder. "What! No I don't. " I stuttered embarrassingly. I didnt fart but it was humiliating when everyone pointed it out like it was true, not to mention the stares of mockery I was receiving.

I froze, trying to keep my face neutral as I said, "Nothing." Her gaze snapped to me, narrowing dangerously as she said, "Adrian DeLuca, did you just fart in your hospital bed?" I rubbed a hand over my face and said, "It wasn't a fart, it was just air pressure." "Oh my God," she said, leaning back in the chair with mock horror while she tried to fight back her laughter. "You almost died two days ago, and the first thing you do when you wake up is gas-bomb me?" I fought back a grin as I said, "Hey, be grateful. That was a gentle one."

I brought down my head moving to smash my lips on hers but I ruined it by the most embarrassing of actions. It was a loud fart that convinced me that the universe hates me. I couldn't have my first kiss in peace. "Did you just fart?" She was having the laugh of her life. She slipped from my arms and onto the ground rolling on it with her palm clutching her belly as she laughed at my expense, "O-h he-a-vens, the count farts!"

I must say, he definitely looked uncomfortable, his face scrunched up like crumpled paper with beads of sweat gathering on his forehead. Narin and I exchanged a look, identical smiles blooming on our faces.
