The day the Sterling family came to honor an old marriage agreement, my adopted younger sister suddenly confessed. "I used Sophie's photo to date a scholarship kid online. He's coming here today to propose, and someone that low is the kind of person I deserve. "Mom, Dad, I don't deserve the Sterling marriage. Send me away." Her eyes swam with tears. She looked stubborn and self-sacrificing, the perfect brave little martyr. My parents, who'd always favored Ava, made their decision immediately. They pointed at me, standing off to the side, watching the whole performance. "Ava grew up with us. She understands our world better than you do. She's the one who should marry into the Sterling fa

When I started college, I wanted a normal college experience, so I refused to use the black card my parents gave me. My roommate, Peggy Slade, was on need-based financial aid. Every day, she did two things. First, she'd sweet-talk her rich, hot online boyfriend and brag about him. Second, she'd make fun of me, the small-town nobody who couldn't even recognize designer brands. All my clothes back home were custom-made, so I honestly didn't know a single logo. I never bothered explaining. Her online romance was more entertaining than reality TV. Then one day, a screenshot of a money transfer popped up on her phone, and I caught a glimpse. 'Wait. She's using my photos for online dating?'

I heard him say and coughed instantly, allowing him to pass me water that pushed down the lumps. “Excuse me, what?” I asked. “You heard me, Ms Miranda, this place isn't for all, especially double faced women like you. It's hard to book.” he explained, cleaning his hands like I was some dirt. “How do you mean double faced?” I asked again, still not understanding. “How do I mean double faced..?” He asked back, looking me in the eyes as if checking to see the depth of it. “A woman who is working for archenemies, two brothers ranking first and second in the business world. She's who I define as a double face because there's always a hidden agenda,” He explained, smiling lazily.

Vanished again. Now it was like Camille was taunting him, telling him that he would never catch her. She’d been under his nose this whole time. Keeping her secrets like treasure to her chest. She’d sprung a surprise on the sleepy town. Not one girl, not even two, but three girls who shared the same face and Luther Montgomery hadn’t been able to bring them all home. There was always one left.

When I came out of the closet, I immediately went to the walk in closet and took the brown off shoulder dress, I just wore a tube bra and underwear before wearing the dress, my whiteness and my collar bone were very obvious, I did not dried my hair and combed it with straightly before going to the mirror and took a lip gloss because my lips are already red so I don't need any more red lipstick. I also powdered before looking at my wealth in the mirror. I was simply wearing it and I was also wearing flat shoes and took the shoulder bag that was hanging on the wall before putting my cellphone there and walked to the door to open it. When I opened the door, I almost started shouting because cle

That night, I slept better than I had in over a decade. When I woke up the next morning, my phone was flooded with hundreds of missed calls and messages. I glanced through them briefly—Don, Nevaeh, Camden, and even those who had once bullied me were all among the senders. I blocked each one of them without hesitation. After coming downstairs and enjoying breakfast with my grandparents, the butler, Elliot Garcia, hurried in to announce, "Mr. Saccone Senior, Mrs. Saccone Senior, Ms. Magnolia, there's someone at the door from the Scott family."

I press Mona Lisa's nose, and the door on the side automatically opens. Yay, I'm so clever, girl! In fairness, the secret room is huge. Where are you, ugly old man? I walk quietly to surprise him. But I'm the one who was surprised! He's sitting there without a shirt, and still wearing a mask! I didn't mind those abs of his. My mission is to reveal his ugly face. But girl, his 8-pack abs are distracting! Good thing his beautiful body makes up for his ugly face. I took out my cell phone and chose a song to play.

he doubts. "Shut the fuck up and let me do my job, Ginger!" he angrily tells him. Chris stops talking and lets Brian do his thing. Brian gets closer to the guy and inspects him. "Why did you choose to wear this outfit? What were you even trying to prove by wearing all black? This is some ugly and cheesy fashion you are wearing. Also, why are you wearing sunglasses at night? This is not the 1980s anymore!" he insults him. The man never moves or takes his eye off of the officer. Brian is staring him down, not letting the man intimidate him.

Just then, a young, stout woman made her way out of the closet with a black dress in her hands. “You must be Sky. It's so nice to meet you.” Astrid waved at her with a smile. “Oh, my goodness. You're the lady who caught Mr Titan's eye! I've always wanted to see your face. Not many of us are this lucky. You're so much prettier in person.” Sky gushed loudly, clapping her hands. “Excuse her behaviour, ma'am. Sky's new here, so she doesn't exactly know how to act when she's excited.” Mary said, not hiding the glare she sent in Sky's direction.
