She stares at each and everyone here that has been a part of her life while growing up. She might have felt like she has been forgotten by the fairy world for a while back then, but spending her time in the human world is something she would never trade even if she is a Princess in her own fairy realm. Aria's POV "Aria! Over here!" I turned and beheld Aunt Mira waving her arms as she had a great big smile on her face. Julia I stand back and watch Riley and Nina put the final touches on the Christmas tree, and then he pulls out a Christmas angel to sit on the top. Inside, it’s a whirlwind of warmth and chaos—the kind that makes you forget about the cold world outside. The grand foyer is decked out with a towering tree loaded with twinkling lights and ornaments that look like they belong in a museum, and the air smells like pine, cinnamon, and roasting turkey. I stir the mulled wine on the stove, watching the spices swirl in the deep red liquid, feeling a little out of place but mostly content. This is

he told them while rolling his eyes. "You promised all of us you would give us gifts. You're unfair, Miss Felicity," Daldalita blurted out like a child. Other servants agreed with her, nodding their heads. "Yeah, I did, but Christmas is over," Felicity reasoned out. Felicity could see the protest and disappointment on their faces and he kind of enjoyed it. "There is still Valentine's Day," Daldalita hissed. "Why, do you even have a heart?" Felicity teased her.

I learned to be thankful and quiet. That acceptance made me hate Christmas. Love songs made my skin crawl. The lights under our tree looked like glass eyes. The ribbons on the presents were traps. Every year, the house tuned itself to cheer and I pretended to enjoy it. The twenty-fifth became the night when a new kind of cold touched my bones. It was the day the truth had crawled out at me like an animal. It was the day I had learned how much of my life had been decided by other hands.
