A Second Life Inside My Novels

A Second Life Inside My Novels

"Welcome! Welcome to my world. My name is Cathedra. Leave my last name blank, if you will. In this book, I shall present you a question: What if the villains in our stories are not actually evil as they're shown to be, and the good people in fairy tales are not as good as they seem? You don't believe me? Well, let me show you the truth. Let me show you the lies in the fairy tales that you all have come to know and believe. Just open the first page, and I'll tell you the true story . . ." By: Cathedra _____

You can always find someone willing to help you if you seek it. THE FAIRY TALE: I wanted to learn a couple of the most original versions of Beauty and the Beast before writing the book, but it was impossible to pin down where the story originated! The best answer is eighteenth-century France. Some people say the earliest version came from Charles Perrault (who died in 1703), while some say Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve wrote it in 1740. In one version, Beauty was the youngest of six children. In another version, she was the youngest of three. But in most versions, the Beast caught someone stealing a rose, so I knew that had to stay.

Therianthrope: A New Kind of Curse

Therianthrope: A New Kind of Curse

Fairies in real life had nothing to do with what she saw on television or read in books. Fairies were not happy, wish granting, playful little winged creatures. They were bawdy, strong warriors that were some of the best fighters in existence. Apparently, someone came up with the idea of “fairy tales” as a crude joke against fairies. If all other fairies were like Donovan, it was a joke they didn’t find funny…at all! He could get violent over the mention of Peter Pan, Lily found out about that the hard way.

The stories she had shared with Theo melded with the narratives of the dream realm, creating a kaleidoscope of tales that danced before her in a mesmerizing display. As she wandered through this fantastical land, Mama Hazel encountered creatures of myth and magic, each one a guardian of stories untold, a keeper of secrets waiting to be revealed. The characters she met whispered of forgotten tales, of hidden truths, and of the transformative power of storytelling that bound their fates together in an intricate dance of destiny.

King Aolis. “I would love to visit the fairy tale lands,” Marlene says. “The fae lands, love,” Reyes gently corrects her. “Are they not the same?” she asks, looking from Reyes to Aolis. “Not exactly. A fairy tale land is a fake world that humans created for books. The fae land has many fae creatures but it is ruled by the elves,” Aolis explains. “But, there are leprechauns, giants, and unicorns, right?” she asks excitedly.

Liliana
This was one of my favourite books! I was just a wee bit disappointed in Lily and Leana having had ONLY 2 and 3 children each, being that they’re living forever. But well, I still loved Leana’s and Drake’s story a lot!!

I spoke those words with sincerity. He heaved a heavy sigh, and I could tell that he was contemplating his next words. “For a very long time there have been things that have happened throughout history that humans have not always been able to understand. Thus, the invention of fairy tales came about, but with every story told throughout time there is a bit of truth in every single one.” I could see that Tobias was struggling with what he was trying to tell me, and honestly, I was a bit confused. What did fairy tales have anything to do with reality? Tobias glanced in my direction and must have seen my confusion. “I am making a mess of this huh” he said with a chuckle. I assured him that I wa

a name befitting her majestic command over the oceanic realm. Fairies, creations of the star goddess Asteria, possess unique talents in spell casting, although their abilities are limited to simpler incantations. Their most exceptional trait is their capacity to shrink into minuscule forms, granting them unparalleled stealth as spies. Once loyal to the Mages, they had become independent entities, with some residing as land fairies in the human world and others fleeing to the sea alongside their Mage companions. Among the nine supernatural entities, werebears and weredogs remained shrouded in mystery, with no sightings or records of their existence since the Great War. The sun god and the moo

Take care of my heart

With a gentle smile, Mitchell began reading a tale of enchantment and adventure from one of her favorite story books. "Once upon a time, in the enchanting land of a Faraway kingdom, there lived a curious little fairy named Sophia. With sparkling wings that shined like the stars in the night sky, Sophia had a special gift; she could make flowers bloom with a mere touch and bring joy to all living creatures.
