“Hey, it’s going to be alright,” Gideon assured.
“Cliff is clever. He always has a contingency plan. I just can’t believe that this is over so easily.”
“We’ll handle things as they arise—together. Understand?”
She nodded, grateful for his support. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you the entire truth.”
“Anna explained everything to me. She said you wanted to tell me in person. From this point forward, however, you need to trust me.”
