Once there, I walked over to the bed and nearly fell on my way. "Alexis are you okay?" I heard James ask but my vision was blurry as dark spots appeared. "Yeah just...." I didn't get to finish my sentence because the next thing I knew, I was falling but luckily I didn't hit the floor as James scooped me up in his hands and placed me on my bed. "What's going on?" I heard Nick ask but his voice seemed further away. He kept asking but James didn't say anything as he ran into my bathroom and returned with my pills in one hand and water in the other.

I voiced out. "And whose fault was that?" she said glaring at me. Your psychotic mind, I mumbled beneath my breath, just then she decided to drop one of her crutches, she tried to make it look like an accident but failed miserably. She's going to be the death of me, mumbled before adding a string of curse words to the statement. I hurried over to her and supported her falling figure by putting my hand around her waist leading her to the nearest table. I ignore how right it felt to place my hand around her waist or how she seemed to fit perfectly in my arms every time I carry her. I went to pick up the fallen crutch and made my way back to her.

But he wouldn’t listen. I was right behind him as it happened — he reached the stairwell, lost control, and tumbled down. “Nick! No!” I ran down after him. He lay crumpled at the bottom, blood pooling around him. I dropped to my knees, lifting his limp body into my arms. “Help!” I yelled, my voice breaking. “Someone, please help!” Tears blurred my eyes as I held him, shaking.

“You do” “I’m an Alpha. I feel when pack members die. We can talk about it later. He squeezed my hand as we ran towards the fighting when a mighty roar filled the air. Liam slowed, as did Noah and Asher. It looks like we won. As we stepped through the clearing, all fighting had stopped. Red Rock pack looked stunned as they looked down at their fallen Alpha.

As Esme was closer to the pool, she fell first and to everyone around, it looked like Esme pulled Nicole instead of the other way around. "Ahh.."

Afraid someone might see me. ‎ ‎I raised my hand and tried to flag down a taxi. ‎ ‎None stopped. ‎ ‎I opened my phone and ordered an Uber. ‎ ‎Request declined. ‎ ‎I tried again. ‎ ‎Declined. ‎ ‎Again. ‎ ‎Declined. ‎ ‎The rain grew heavier. ‎ ‎Water splashed against the pavement and drifted beneath the shade, dampening my clothes little by little. ‎ ‎Still, I didn't move. ‎ ‎I just stood there.

When I get closer to the middle, my good luck runs out. I step onto a weakened ledge area and fall, my upper body slamming hard onto the solid ground and my arms just barely scrambling to find purchase as my legs swing helplessly below me.

Autumn felt her world collapse in slow motion as Iris pushed her. The last thing she saw was the shock etched on Iris’s face before Ivan suddenly appeared beside her, standing frozen in disbelief. The moment stretched endlessly, but then gravity took over, and Autumn’s head plummeted towards the unforgiving concrete floor below.

Something nobody expected. Philippe moved. Not away from danger. Towards it. The upper platform beneath him shifted violently. The damaged railing buckled. A section of flooring cracked. And suddenly Philippe was falling. The scream that escaped Jessica's throat wasn't entirely conscious. Everything happened at once. The collapsing platform. The falling debris. The twisting metal. The collapsing timber. And Philippe. Dropping directly towards the floor below. Towards Henri. For a fraction of a second, nobody could move quickly enough. Nobody except Henri.

It was enough that I could slip a claw through and slice the barrier up through the middle. I was immediately falling from the sky. I imagined a soft pillow catching me, uncertain if that exercise would work. I closed my eyes, fearing the worst as I dropped hard to the ground. Surrounding me was the fluffiest pillow that took the brunt of my fall. I laid there for a second, catching my breath.
