Falling for the wolf
I heard a howl.
That made me lose control and fall. I searched for my phone, which had fallen somewhere, but I couldn't find it. But I stopped cold when I saw something in front of me, close. I felt drops of blood fall on my hand, meaning the wolf's mouth was right above me. I froze, not moving, terrified.
The wolf growled.
I slowly raised my head, getting on my knees as best I could. This was the end; it was obvious this would be my last night. A tear rolled down my cheek. I was half sobbing but feared that the slightest movement or sound would make the wolf attack me.
