I reached out, trying to grasp onto something, anything, to slow my descent, but there was nothing there. As I fell, I saw the world rushing by in a blur. The wind whipped past me, sending my hair flying out behind me, and I felt the tears streaming down my face. I couldn't believe this was happening. I had always been so careful, so cautious, and yet here I was, plummeting towards my death.

I struggle to regain control of my body once more, begging my muscles to move on command but they fail me, falling apart one by one as my consciousness seeps from my body. I fall down from my knees, face flat onto the wet earth. Black spot slowly invade my vision and soon enough, it fades out with the last thing I see being his monstrous face.

Irene My eyes are closed, but I can feel it, like my body’s moving, drifting somewhere I can’t control. I don’t know if I’m floating or falling. There’s no pain. Not even a hint of it. Just… nothing. I blinked with hot drops of tears falling from my eyes before I struggled to get up and sit on the bed. I cracked my neck, my body feeling like it shattered into pieces, and then fixed itself back together again.

I kept on repeating and slowly, I felt myself falling to the ground. My whole body was weak and without any struggle, I allowed myself to fall to the ground and my eyes went closed, shutting me in total darkness.
