SEVER ZERO

SEVER ZERO

Leo (Tank) roared, his voice carrying over the ringing in everyone's ears. The giant man stepped forward, clad in the matte-black "Juggernaut" heavy assault armor they had looted from the Mobile Command Center. The armor made him look like a walking monolith. He reached out and snatched the smoking rifle from the hands of a trembling Ironhead ganger who looked barely out of his teens.

And there would be more. Joseph looked on and finally saw the four power-armors, still standing but with their upper body hunched forward, slouching like a crumbling statue. Each and every visor ruptured open with smoke coming out of them. Their weakest spot. And the Kalayaan Spec Ops made sure and quick work of it. Real quick work. He looked away. He didn't want to see what was inside. He knew what was inside.

Mafia King's Runaway Bride!

Mafia King's Runaway Bride!

That’s how he got the title bloody devil. “Arvan, send more of our men to the south side of the city. Both of us are enough here to deal with those useless dogs of Vordamorte’s. I don't know why those old dogs of my clan were so sure that these weaklings could kill me, lol.” Evan taunted while killing two more of his enemies with just one bullet. He took out his customized HK-416 assault rifle and started his devil mode.

Return to Power

Return to Power

The next moment, the blood line that absorbed the four people's energy was cut off by the sword light. The four figures fell from the void. Most of their energy, blood, and qi had been absorbed by the devil, and now, they were only left with dried-up skins. The figure of Jason flew straight up and landed opposite the devil. The devil with a slightly solidified body stood opposite Jason and looked at Jason quietly. "Let's continue with the unfinished battle!" Jason said softly.

Savage Reborn: Dumped Him to Marry the Billionaire

They exploded. BOOM. Dust and debris rained down. A figure stepped through the smoke. He was massive. He wore armor made of blackened steel that seemed to absorb the torchlight. On his back was a greatsword the size of a grown man. His face was scarred, his eyes the color of storm clouds. He wasn't a hero. He didn't glow. He looked like a walking war crime. The Mercenary. The Black Wolf. Vespera didn't stand up. She sipped her tea.

The Devil’s Kryptonite

Noelle was here? Her opponent's ginger waves were contained by a ponytail. She donned her dusty, orange-tinged armor that had seen much blood; her dark wings were spread apart, challenging Noelle. She stood tall with her orange staff, so full of darkness that you could see the black mist steaming from her staff.

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

“They aren’t just fighting us. They are absorbing us.” Suddenly, the ground beneath the Harvester line exploded. But it wasn’t a shell. Massive, black thorns—thick as redwood trunks—shot up from the soil, impaling the lead Harvester units and hoisting them into the air. The Black Fallow had arrived. It wasn’t a neat, controlled growth; it was a violent eruption of necrotic vines that pulsed with a dark, angry purple light.

CLAIMED BY THE DEVIL

“I just didn’t know what to do. Fernando was so nice to me and dad and hearing about him after a long time might have sparked my reaction.” He didn’t reply her. He had his gaze focused on the target and as he shot the gun, it hit the middle directly. A perfect shot. “That’s incredible.” She muttered. He dropped the gun and turned to her direction. “Power is like a spirit, Becca. It drives you to do irresistible things and…” “I wasn’t driven by power. I was just angry.” She defended. “Besides, I’ve apologized, don’t you think you should let it go?” She almost rolled her eyes.

자주 묻는 질문

Charles Robert “Charlie” Moore (July 18, 1934 – June 23, 2014) was a deeply committed Methodist minister and lifelong social justice advocate. Born and raised in Grand Saline, Texas—a town he later described as shaped by hateful legacies—Moore spent decades standing up for oppressed communities and fighting systemic injustice.

In 2014, at the age of 79, Moore carried out an act that stunned his hometown and beyond. On the afternoon of June 23, he drove from his home in suburban Dallas to Grand Saline and pulled into a shopping center parking lot. He knelt on a piece of foam, doused himself with gasoline, and set himself ablaze. Bystanders desperately attempted to extinguish the blaze using shirts, bottled water, and ultimately a fire extinguisher. He was rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he succumbed to his injuries late that night.

Moore didn’t do this on impulse. In the weeks leading up to his death, he authored a series of typed letters and a note left on his car. In them, he explained that he felt compelled to act—not out of despair, but as a final, nonviolent protest. He wrote that he was “giving my body to be burned, with love in my heart,” hoping to break his community’s silence over racial atrocities—particularly the lynchings, beheadings, and threats that had plagued Grand Saline's past. He called for repentance and urged both his hometown and the broader nation to confront entrenched racism.

Throughout his life, Moore had pushed against injustice through less dramatic means. He served as a pastor for decades, advocating for civil rights, LGBT inclusion, and the abolition of the death penalty. He went on a hunger strike in 1995 to challenge discriminatory language within his denomination, organized against the death penalty, and served in communities around the world—including India, Africa, and the Middle East.

Moore’s final act reignited conversations that local society had long avoided. His self-immolation forced Grand Saline and others to confront painful truths about its past—stories of racial terror tolerated or smothered by time. For Moore, the gesture was meant to jolt people out of complacency and into moral reckoning.

The event inspired a powerful documentary, Man on Fire (directed by Joel Fendelman, premiered 2018), which revisits Grand Saline and attempts to untangle the layers of history, faith, denial, and sorrow surrounding Moore’s act. The film received critical acclaim, including awards at prestigious festivals, and has been used to provoke dialogue on race, memory, and healing in small communities.

Ultimately, Charles Moore saw his self-immolation as the culmination of a life devoted to justice. Though tragic, his sacrifice continues to stir reflection, reminding us of the lengths to which one deeply caring person might go to awaken a conscience.
