I supposed I will die from blood loss in five minutes according to one article that I have read. Suddenly, a familiar feeling crept into my veins. I can no longer hear the insane cackles of my aunt. The blood stopped gushing from my wound. It felt like time froze again, and it only means one thing. “D-doom…” I faintly whispered under my breath. “Open your eyes. It's not yet your time.” Did I hear it correctly? It's Doom's voice right? Did he come to save me again? I opened my eyes, and I was greeted by his crimson orbs.

Trapped. I closed my eyes, preparing for the inevitable. This was it, the end. I had failed to protect myself, failed to defeat Prometheus. My life was a failure. A sudden surge of adrenaline coursed through me. I was not going to give up without a fight. With a desperate lunge, I grabbed a loose stone from the ground. I swung it with all my might, aiming for the wolf's head. The stone connected with a satisfying thud. The wolf howled in pain, its grip loosening. I took advantage of the distraction and kicked it with all my strength. The wolf stumbled backward, giving me a brief moment to catch my breath.

The common room, where we had lots of fun times as a family, was now a bloody battleground. I could hear shouts and screams echoing off the walls as Fausto dragged us closer, my stomach churning at the sight of bodies strewn across the floor. It was a bloodbath, a scene straight out of a nightmare, and I felt bile rising in my throat at the sheer brutality of it all. "Look what I found..." Fausto said before flinging both of us onto the ground.

“That’s not true. No one—” “Shut up,” the four of them said. Raven hissed as Cillian did something to her arm. “Did he bite you?” Cillian asked softly. “No, a bullet grazed me. Why aren’t they out yet?” “They’ve taken over all of the armory factories,” Messiah said. “They probably haven’t even worked through the reserves that were on the Blue Moon compound.” Ian groaned as he pushed himself to his feet. “I need to feed. We all do.”

The air was stale, the stench of blood and disinfectant filled the air and it was almost suffocating. It smelled like a hospital that had lost control of it’s blessing patients and it made Rain gag once or twice since she walked into the room. The sight was much worse than the stench though. The man was still in his bloodied clothes but they had been cut open from the parts that were shot. Bandages covered his bullet wounds and the rest of the blood had caked on the material and his skin, that was probably where the stench was coming from.

So I grabbed my teddy bear and walked down the stairs. When I came into the kitchen, I didn't saw my daddy and my mommy standing there, arguing and fighting. I just saw my mommy laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. The red liquid was coming out of her belly and flooded around her. Her eyes were wide open and her brown hair had become red of her blood. I whispered her name and grabbed her hand as I knelt next to her. The tears were falling down my cheeks like a waterfall. Her blood was now on my white pajamas. My hands were painted with her blood as I tried to shake her awake.

Bile quickly rises to my throat, and I swallow it down. Wrong decision to make. Before I can think, it rushes up my throat again, and I hunch over. Right there, in the middle of the aisle, I empty my guts. I puke. A whitish transparent liquid. My throat feels raw, hot. “Gross,” someone grimaces. Jafeth looks away, jaw clenched. “Come on, let’s get you out of here.” Black dots dance in my vision, my head swims. I feel light-headed. Just before I succumb to the darkness that pulls me, I hear it…

The screen lit up again, signalling another message had come in. D: You're going to regret that. My stomach knotted together and my cheeks pinked. There was so much tension in that text. I couldn't help but send a message back. I hit send and grinned at myself. Beatrice: Bite me Kenna parked up the car and I noticed the black Maserati straight away. I tried not to look at it too much and saw Kenna looking at me from the corners of her eyes. I quickly exited the car and was bulldozed over by Logan who gave me a bear hug.
