Lavi pushes Anna aside, shielding her but both of them are staring wide eyed at Nine. Her short dark hair has turned white and her eyes are glowing in a violet shade. Raising her hands, she shoots another purple blast at the men, separating them from Anna and Lavi. But Nine is on the other side of the barrier, trapping herself with Damien and his men. “Go!” She exclaims. “Just go!” “Nine-” Anna yells but Lavi pulls her away. “We have to save her!” Anna demands. “She will be fine!” Lavi assures her. “She knows what to do.”

Ethan’s steps stopped across from us. Tara and I were tied to opposite ends of the railing, with the roaring ocean behind us. The moment Tara saw Ethan, she started crying, her face was a picture of delicate misery. It was so perfect that if I was not stuck in the same situation, I might have applauded. I could not imagine how she managed such excellent emotional control. "Ethan, it's Lana. She did this! They're all in it together. Please save me!"

“I was about to take my leak when he jumped on me, man! He said I needed to be the sacrifice! What does it mean?” Eight dropped me and I hit my butt hard. “I had no idea what happened here but I don’t trust you!” He turned his back away from me. He inched closer to his dead comrade. Now that I have the moment to pay attention, it was Nine that I have killed. Eight inspected Nine’s cold body with careful hands from head to toe. Then he took the knife that I put in the dead man’s hand. He stood and felt the engraving in the knife, I could see through darkness the tension in his body.

I was preparing to head to London. Just as my Rolls-Royce was about to pass the final checkpoint into the VIP hangar, a battered black Saab, completely out of place here, suddenly cut across the road, blocking the way. The screech of brakes tore through the rainy night. "Madam, someone's blocking the car." The bodyguard’s hand was already on the grip of the gun at his waist, his eyes cold and sharp. I put down the tablet in my hand and looked out through the rain-blurred window. The figure blocking the car was tall but stooped.

A cold glint shone from her hand. Dad froze, staring at the knife handle buried in his own body. His mouth opened, but no sound came out, and he slowly sank to the floor. Anna panicked and pressed herself into the crowd, but she couldn't outrun Mom. The blade flashed again. Anna clutched her neck and crumpled limply to the floor. Mom stood in the center of the crimson, holding the knife that dripped with blood. The funeral guests screamed and scattered in chaos. After kneeling over Anna for what felt like an eternity, Mom rose, carrying a bloodied bundle. She approached the grave with a soft, almost tender smile that made everyone's skin crawl.

A golden ray appeared and formed into nine ferocious dragons swirling around Darryl! “Die! All of you f*ckers have to die!” shouted Darryl in a hoarse voice, the air surrounding him was getting twisted! “Ascension of the Nine Dragons!” Boom! The nine dragons flew toward the men brutally as Darryl shouted! “Ah!” Horrifying screams erupted from the 30 men! It took less than 20 seconds for those men to collapse onto puddles of blood! Timothy was the only one left. He covered his chest as he stood there with a terrorized expression!

“I hate that it had to come to this. You’re my brother, and I wanted you by my side. Family should mean something.” “If it meant something, you wouldn’t be making me choose. But we both know it doesn’t mean shit. This is just another fucking way for you to try and prove to yourself that you’re better than me.” “I am better than you! I’m Nine. The best.” Six shook his head. “You’re a cocky asshole sociopath that was always jealous of me.” The corners of Nine’s lips curled down. “Fucking die.” He held up something in his hand, thumb pressed down, then tossed it toward us as they turned and walked away.

Exclaimed one of the three men who entered the room. In the midst of the sudden upheaval, Mila's brain was forced to work fast and she witnessed how Aaric was being pulled away from her by two men in gray uniform, while one other person walked up to Mila with an injection in his hand. “Shit! Whose blood is this?! Who's injured!?” One of them looked confused by seeing so much blood. Everything was so messed up and the first thing Mila realized after the man who approached her injected something into her was; Aaric's eyes turned red for an instant before returning to their original color.

I looked into his eyes — those beautiful eyes — and asked one last time, "Do you still love me?" He laughed like I'd said something funny, came back over, patted my head, and answered without missing a beat. "Of course I do. Don't overthink it. I'll be back tomorrow. We'll celebrate our anniversary then — I already made a reservation." He sounded so sure of himself. I nodded. "Okay. I'll wait for you." For the first time in nine years, I lied to him. I turned and started walking back to my room. But Jason — who had been in such a hurry to leave — was still standing by the door. He hadn't moved.
